No problem Terry. I know how stressed out you have been deciding what skimmer to buy, Then you have all these "reef geeks" hunting you down in all of your different threads :D

what's the plan for cabinet doors and how will they be installed?

I have planned on 4 doors that are being fabricated out of 1/4 inch oak ply and 1x2 oak trim. Most of my house is very basic and mission in style, so L plan on just knocking down the edges with a sanding block to take the rough edges off.

I am going to install them with the european style hinges that can only be seen from the inside.

yeah, those dang Stalkers! lol...

I did hijack a *few* skimmer threads lately, eh? ;)

I know man! All I see on that BK SM thread are your post, I was very angry... I'm j/k. I would do the same too if i spent that much on a skimmer.

Mark,

At first when i saw your skimmer, i was thinking to myself; Did H&S come out with a new skimmer? :) I like your stand, you did an awesome job on it. Are you going to coat it with epoxy or water seal it at all?

Gabe- Thanks. I plan on staining it with a stain/poly seal all in one. Minh told me about a place in Davis where they can custom match a color. I am also planning on painting the inside as well.

Congrats on the new build Mark! :)

Thanks Mike. I look forward to seeing which way you will go.

I guess I am planning a road trip tomorrow. I am not looking forward to the drive, but I am looking forward to the result :spin3:

the drive wont be bad 2 hrs max, and how stoked are you going to be driving back

2 Hours, now that is funny. On the way home I will be worried everytime I go over a bump or the sort. Right when the price of gas keeps going up.

I just got done mapquesting the directions to Lee Mar. It is going to be a long day of driving :( I just loaded up some moving blankets and ratchet straps for my precious cargo.

It's a long drive. I picked up my tank from Leemar in Vista and it was quite the experience. I met the head tank builder who was very cool. He gave me a tour of the factory. They sell all kinds of pet products from their warehouse.

Be safe! :)

Can't wait to see it on the stand ;)

Thanks Terry. I guess I need to finish the stand :) I did clear some space on the garage floor for the time being.
