Its does make it a lot better to have someone to share this hobby with, but there are times when either she gets in the way of my hobby or this hobby in the way of us (not is any exact order) :D

Thanks Lapsan. That is why I am going to remove my achilles to ease any agression. I will also be placing the joc in a specimen container so the other fish can get used to him.

That's what I should have done when I tried to introduce my 2nd pygmy angel, but I figured that they were from the same display tank at the LFS, they should be ok. I was quite wrong.

Mark this is an excellent method of 'socializing' your other fish with the new addition. You don't want to lose this guy...he is an awesome fish! When I first got my Femininus wrasse i just plopped it in the tank and for some reason almost every fish in the tank was out to kill it. Within 10 mins of being in the tank, it jumped out and landed on the ground in front of me. I then placed it in a specimen container for about a day and when I released again everybody was cool. Also did it with my latz when I introduced this time and it worked well.

Yep. I think it is the only way to go now. You can put food in there as well and it allows the fish to get some needed nutrition and not be all stressed out. I also turn off all the lights before releasing new fish.

Hey Mark, sorry to hear about your minor flood there! Well I guess no flood is minor!

I was in the process of changing my tank around at home and adding a OM on a Barccuda when I noticed the bottom of my stand was collapsed about 1/8-1/4". Needless to say the tank is now empty and I'm not looking forward to moving it off the stand to do the repairs. Oh well better to be safe!!

Peace
Rob

Eric, I did not know that you wanted a maculiceps. I had two in last week. I bought a pair Centropyge flavissimus x Centropyge vroliki and put in. It was fine for a week until it started to to nip my sps. Female died and the male is in the sump. Let me know if you want a maculicep, clarion, or conspic.

I made a trip to Jeremy's today to pick up a fish trap. To bad it doesn't fit between the top of my tank and the vho.

I can either try to net it or catch in on a small hook like I caught a sailfin back in the day, or I can take off the front vho and place the trap in the tank.

Either way, I want to catch my achilles and I am committed to get it out now. There is no turning back. :hmm2:

Of course. Will it fit by removing the front VHO bulb, or will you need to tilt your canopy back to make room?

I have a smaller fish trap, it's a tube maybe 2"- 3" diam. and about 7" Long, it might be too small but you can give it a try

I just got done taking off the front bulb and it fit quite nicely. :) The only problem was that I had a hard time finding a place for it as I had a to move a few of my chalices around.

The whole lure of how hard to keep them probably played a part it it. They are also one of the meanest fish on the reef. That said, I want to give my black tang a better chance to roam the tank and not just limited to a section of rocks.

Hi Jesus-

As soon as the new tank is up, its on! I will drive us to LA. Maybe if Mark begs enough we can take him along too :p !!

BTW save yourself the trouble with the Clarion...not reef safe.

Its funny because right after I put the trap in my tank this morning, every fish went in except the achilles. I will not even try to catch him for 24 hours so they can get used to it being in there. I'll keep you guys posted/

On another note, I just got of the phone and my newest delivery is set for tomorrow morning
