A little report on the a200-1260; It rocks :D

I cleaned it Monday before I left for work as I wanted to see a weeks worth of nog. Here is a little over 48 hours from a skimmer that is still breaking in :p

I see the silencer is now attached to the standpipe. What, don't want a repeat of today?

Yep, the silencer is attached and I will chalk that up as a lesson learned ;)

 As I mentioned to my wife yesterday, consider a lesson learned the hard way, but learned none the less. Just call us "experienced" now. We learn from doing it wrong and fixing it, as opposed to watching someone else doing it and learning from their mistake.:D

Every system is different and it takes a few "experiences" to make sure you have things dialed in long term :)

At least I was able to pirate a picture of this beautiful specimen before someone bought it.

Mark-

Were you the one who beat me to that Maculiceps last night???!!!!!????

I was sooo ****ed. I had it in the cart but forgot my password for their damn online store. By the time I located my PW, everything in my cart was gone. Its like going to the grocery store and finding the nicest steak on the rack and having someone grab it out of your cart. Oh well....there will always be more....

BTW I love how the forum software now edits cursewords. Since when is ****ed a curseword. Oh looky it edited it again!

I did not even see the maculiceps :( I am going to hold off on tangs for awhile, especially since I am going to attempt to catch my achilles.

I hope you are joking Erik. Don't even start :)

Sooo, Mark, have the corals started to color back up from the PO4 issue? You mentioned that they had browned out a bit.

Colors are still there, but by the time I get home, the halides are off. I'll know more this weekend.

Also, did your Vortech power supply still work, or do you need to go out and replace it?

I don't know. I put it out in the sun next to the other one from last week :( I will try them tonight.

Tough break on the skimmer Mark. At least your wife was paying attention and it was during the day. I had a ca rx pump come loose and drain 20+ gallons of SW on the floor back when I was less "experienced". A good way to get a lesson on the art of the shop-vac.

Tell me about it. My wife started to freak out when the tank went silent as the power went out. We have gone over what to do if something happens. She understands that we are in together. She was almost crying when she couldn't figure where the water was coming from.

That's nice that she cares about it. Mine could care less as long as it doesn't stick up the house and leak. The dog seems to care though, so at least I have a resident buddy.
