Is that rust Mark??

Yep  This also happend to a magnet holder to one of my older tunzes awhile back.

Wow, good you caught that. I'm sure Roger will replace it, he's the best!

Well based on your great colors I don't think it was having to much of an impact yet.

Hang tough Mark.

James

Thats the thing James, I did not even notice it when I was taking them out to replace them with the 6105's. I have no idea how long they have been in there like that. A few months back, before gen 2, my vortechs had rusted as well. I guess my corals do not mind a bit of iron :p That could just be another reason I have been battling algae on and off since the tanks inception, but there has been no signs of contaminants in my polyfilter.

Its been 30 days since I removed my acros. I actually turned on the light in my QT tank to view my corals today and I was pleasantly surprised with the colors. I also notice that many of the corals with broken tips have healed and many of the corals are showing new growth.

Since I did not do another round of dips this week, I worked on the display a bit. I put all of the corals on the rocks and i decided to vacumm the sand bed and do a water change. The sand bed looks so nice when there is nothing on it. :( Too bad I have a fetish for chalices.

I have not done any tests on my tank for about 6 weeks, so I was curious where my PO4 would be, especially since it was so high.

I can live with

Man, I miss staring at a tank full of acros :hmm2:

Lookin' good mark. I was just about to ask how you and your tank was doing? Glad to see the update. :)

RC has been kind of slow ever since everyone is leaving...:(

Thanks Kenny. That is a Halichoeres iridis or Radiant wrasse. I have had him for over 3 years :)

Very nice Mark  (as usual)

Thanks Jim. I will give you a call later on as we have a new order for you.

Well, my weekend finished off on a sour note:(

Found these strange bits of plastic in my filter sock. Looked like long bits of carbon at first, until I realized what they were.

Not too much going on these days as I am 35 days into my "acroless" phase and I am getting ancy to start adding a few pieces back to the tank. I will try to hold out at least one more week, but its getting close:bigeyes:

I am planning on another round of dips this weekend, but I will also be working on converting a 70watt sunpod to a 150watt radium for my work nano.

I was having withdrawls, so thanks Vince ;)

Man that's purdy!!! is that the one we discussed the other day that you sent me a link to?

Yep :p Definitely an eyecatcher. That picture was taken in my work nano under a 70 watt bulb and a standard lens. I am looking forward to breaking out the macro.

Very cute. I'd say I'll 1 up you, but she's so cute I can only accomplish that by posting a pair of dolls. I'll have to check the pics Mandi took, but I'm not overly hopeful. I've seen what her skillz with a camera have done.:(
