Glad to hear things are on the up and up! New toys always bring a smile to my face as well!

<----Continuing to send good MOJO!

WOW that is some seroius flow!!! No wonder your tank always looked so good! I love the small size of the Stream pumps. I have 3 of them in my cube but now I want the these hahahaha

I guess I did not need to turn them up all the way since there are no corals in the tank to defuse the flow. All the monties that were not glued down ended up on the sand bed.

At least now you now what needs to be glued down. LOL.

Lets not even talk about glue. I have been through 5 IC gels so far in QT. I expect at least 10-12 tubes when gluing back down corals when that day comes :(

I use the aquastick for the biggerpieces myself Mark. Which makes it a lot easier.

Especially since I have an Astrea thats about 5" in diameter thats a big "bulldozer" these days. I thought i lost that Rasberry Sherbert.

I am hoping John will take him for the new tank when he gets is going. It needs a bigger place to call home. It has me a little nervious if it ever croaks on me.

I'm curious, do you prefer the Tunze now after the "trouble" you have had with the Vortechs? Even without the firmware upgrade, mine have been trouble free and really like them.

Wow Doug, That is a big snail.

I have no idea if I like them or not. I have only had them for a couple days and I have not been home and there are no orals in my tank. I like my vortects as well. They both have their ups and downs. Once Ecotech replaced my magnets, I was happy again.

Thats Mongo........he's big and clumsy. I went in one day looking for 5 or 6 snails.....all they had was that, figured was about the same. You have to really pull to get that one off the glass and have had him for like two years.

Given the size of him, and my tank size I am always afraid he will starve because of getting too big.

I remembered you had issues with both brands.....and didn't know if you had a "preference" to either now. Since the magnet upgrade.......like a swiss clock. Comming from 6 Seios in the tank......the difference between the two is amazing.

How do you like the new 6105's? I am thinking of replacing 2 6100's with the new Streams. I know they have about the same flow but can't pass up the new design and to have new toys in the tank :D

Kenny, They are nice. I got rid of my old streams just because of the space they took up and because they were crude and hard to position. Tunze has taken care of that. They are still the very early models and there are a couple things that I am sure Tunze will have to iron out.

Good to know. I have 4 6100's and really want to replace at least the 2 in the front corners with 6105's. The 2 in the back corners are not as noticeable and can wait. I'll probably put in a Wavebox also in the near future. More toys.

This is getting old :sad1:

I went over and visited with a friend last night. After leaving his house and gawking at his amazing tank, I came back home to my empty tank and I have come to the conclusion that this is no longer fun.

I started to think of this ordeal as a challenge, but now its just getting old. I just spent another 3.5 hours in the garage with my hands in and out of dipping tanks and replacing corals back into the QT system. The good thing is that everyweek there are less and less corals to dip and replace. My advice to everyone else is do not attempt a task like this when you are not in the mood. Anything that did not look healthy, it got ditched.

I did just a revive dip this week and I did not find any AEFW or any eggs. This is dip #4. The display has been acro free for 21 days today. Depending on how the corals react this week, I might give them a weeks break and skip a week of treatment. I believe it was Ace (hobogato) who placed all of his corals back in his tank after 4 weeks because the corals were not looking so good. I totally understand as the percentage of corals I have lost is not very high, its just that they have taken a beating and they will have a long way to recover even when they go back into the display.

I did add another light today to provide more light. I do not know if this will help, but we will see.

Hang in there - I think your plan to take a week off is fine. Dip again in 2 weeks, and if you dont see anything, repopulate your tank.

I just removed half my rock and dipped the rocks whole in revive, inspected for eggs (didn't find any, then dipped the rocks to rinse the revive, then placed them back in the tank. Found 1 AEFW in the dip, so here's hoping I get lucky and didn't miss any eggs.

Thats good news about your finds Mike. I know that I have gone through the worst and I do believe that I am on the other side, but its just hard throwing away corals week after wee

I think taking a week off from dipping might not be a bad idea. I did and than dip one last time before adding. It does get a little old after awhile, but you are so close to the end.

Mark, I did 5 dips and they were in QT for six weeks. The seconfd to last week I took off and did one last dip before I added. I didn't see any egg or worms after the second dip.

Thanks Brian :)

I don't even know what else to say. Some may call it a run of bad luck while others may tell me that it is an omen that I need to just cut my losses. I was getting ready to do a water change on my display and I noticed a noise coming from my return pump. I could not figure out where the knocking was coming from so you guys know what that means, yep, I had to go get a new return pump as it was warmer than usual as well. I thought I should be take care of this today and deal with the waranty later :(

After finishing the water change and inserting the new pump, I went back out to garage and my dremel just stopped working. When putting it down I noticed something else
