Once again, Thanks ;)

There are alot of people that I have conversed through PM's, emails, and phone calls over the last couple of months. I just wanted to say thank you again for being part of the solution. IT is not fun sometime as I am up to check the corals with a flashlight @ 4:30am, but its is always cool to see what chalices have the nastiest tentacles; definitely the flying saucer ;)

I'm happy things are working out for you!! The 4:30am thing...yup been there, still there, sometimes. Just the other day I dipped a red mille to an inch of its life in FW because I thought I saw a bitemark :rolleyes2:

One day I will actually capture the joculator, but I am just excited about the tank, who cares if my focus was on the wrong image :p

[BIt really makes you think before buying. All around I feel that it was a good lessen learned, it's saved me a ton of money.:D [/B]

Oh how true that is! I've had my share of just about all the nasty pests too and have ventured over to mostly LPS while I've been trying to get my SPS tank up and stay up over 2 years now. When it comes down to it, I'm going to have a few key pieces of SPS and make sure they are completely clean and then that's it! No more spontaneous purchasing ... just planned out ones so that I know what I'm getting and not risking the rest of the tank. Oh the things we learn after wasting thousands!

Mark - love the new photo's! I might need some LPS frags ;)

So true Sara. If I remember right you had all three pest at the same time :(

I will be working on my new QT tank this weekend, Its a 30 gallon breeder and I will QT even longer than I did before.

Just let me know when that new tank is up and running ;)

Mark, will you keep the QT up all the time or only run it when needed? I am thinking of doing the same thing since I have most of the equipment sitting around anyways.

Kenny, It will always be up and running. The dimensions of 36x16x12 will be just enough. They are not tempered so I will be drilling for a small overflow. I have a 40 gallon breeder that I will use for the sump. Lumenmax DE, gallaxy ballast and helios will take care of the lighting. My old Euroreef cs 6-2 from my old 90 will do the skimming and I should be able to keep corals just fine :) If I want to, I could always add the 1/10th chiller and PM CA reactor that is taking up space in the corner

I need to make better decisions about adding corals. I used to dip EVERYTHING and even QT most things, but I guess when I would get ancy and place things in the display before my full 3 week QT was my main downfall...

The only other person that ever got a frag was Tim and that was way before it went brown. Its still not even close to where it will be :D

It was more like just one after another with a huge overlap at the end with the Acro eating pests!

I've had to throw a few Acro's in that system to feed some filefish that were "in training", and they are actually doing decent. The bugs must be long gone! I'm still nervous about connecting my systems together after all the pests ... that's my last pondering point on my build thread!

Totaly agree. When I think of all the rise and work that needed to add a new coral, I end up pasting most the time. I have a reputation of run a too sterile tank, dipping and dipping some more. I also have been to in the middle of the night with a flash light looking for bugs. My wife thinks I 'm crazy:p .

 I keep a flash light in the stand. It is so much easier to spot things when the lights are off with a flashlight.

I could only imagine Sara. I am having a hard time knowing that I will be dipping 20 or 30 corals and putting them into my display. I think that the display has been acrofree long enough that they have starved out, but all it takes is one little egg that I missed and I would be worse off than before :(

Did I only say 20 or 30 corals :p You sure figure out what corals you like and others you can go without in a process like this.

My eyes hurt so bad from inspecting and my hands ache from all the glue, but here is the rebirth :)

Nice! Are they all in now, or do you still have others in the garage?

I have about "20-30" left

Uh, let me clarify.....How many are still in the garage tank that WILL be going back into your DT? It's hard to tell from the pic just how many corals have already been added, vs. space still available. I think we're gonna need closeups!:D

I would like to, but I have "chores" to do today that are not reef related :( I even appealed the ruling, but the hammer was laid down. In my best guestimate, I would say 2/3'rds of the corals are in. The others are close variants to some or corals I have not made a decision on. You start seeing things after 8 hours of dipping and gluing.

I did get my order of bioptim and biodigest, so if I can get a water change done today, I might start some probidio dosing to help everything get back to normal as the tank is a stressed.
