Maroon Algea

I have a layer of maroon algea all over my sand bed. Is thi a cycle I am going through or is there something else at work here?? Also How can I get rid of it.

My parameters are
SG 1.025
Ph - 8.2
Ammonia - 0
Nitrate - 0
Nitrite - 0
Calcium - 410
Magnesium - 1400

sounds like cyano bacteria! Common after start of new tank. If you do not want it in there you can use Boyeds Chemi Clean and follow instructions, It will be gone in two days total. If not step up your flow towards the sand bed but not blowing it everywhere.
cut back on lighting periods. It likes light. water changes twice a week. Thats the long route.
 
Cyanobacteria blooms are common in new tanks. They sometimes disappear on their own. You could siphon some of it out if you want to speed the process. If the problem persists, there are lots of ideas to consider. I have stopped using the chemical approach since the cyanobacteria will return if there's an underlying problem.
