Mars Aqua Chinese LED review (Ebay)

Hey all,
I just bought one of the 165w versions that has the little IR remote. I'm having some issues with programming since it didn't come with a manual. Can someone link me to a copy?

Thank you! I changed the intensity yesterday and now For some strange reason the program doesn't work to turn the light on anymore. Any thoughts?

Click the "Preview" button on the remote, and make sure everything is correct.
The unit must also be in the proper mode for the timer to work. Try clicking "Menu" a couple times.

What are the fan sizes on the 300W model. I'm going to be getting a new tanks soon and I want to upgrade the fans. They are loud.

Being far from the US may prove to be disadvantageous sometimes...Most of the sellers I contacted for the 165W light either will not ship to Mauritius or claim an amount bigger than the item cost itself.
So I tried sourcing from China itself but I'm not sure if I'm doing a good deal as I don't know anything about the lights though I as see they look identical as those with a brand name
My eye has been on the remote controller unit:

power lamp: 165W(3w Epstar/Bridgelux chips)
light Quantity:55pcs
product size: 400mm*215mm*70mm
lens angle: 30/60/90/120 degree for your choice
input voltage: AC85-265V
color ratio: 2pcs 660nm/2pcs 520nm/4pcs 420nm/18pcs 450nm/8pcs 460nm/
3pcs 480nm/12pcs white 12000k/6pcs white 6500k OR customised by you
Lighting area:120cm long * 110cm wide * 70cm deep tank

What bothers me is the lighting area specified......
Any idea

Hello--I have a buddy that is setting up a 150 gallon (72x18x27) and has 3 165 watt of these that are exactly 12 inches from the water line. What percentage should he be running the whites at and running the blues at. Also if it matters, he has some shallowing in the center due to the center brace.

first off is there any coral in the tank, cause that will help start a guideline to what percent to set the lights at...and second, if he has one of the units directly over the center brace. then theres nothing that can be done to completely get rid of the shadow. the best option to reduce the shadow from the center brace would be to remove the optics on the left and right units in order to have better lights spread in the middle of the tank...

Thanks.. no coral in there yet, but probably will be in the next 2-3 weeks. He just finished his cycle about 3 weeks ago. I was trying to help him get a head start cause there are no marks or numbers on the dial to judge.

I have had these lights for about 8 months now . I see lots of coral growth . I run both the blues and the whites ant about 75%. Easily the best "cheap" thing I have ever bought for the tank

So I decided to pick up 2 165w of the mars aqua and I get them in tomorrow. So I have my mh 150s about 6 in from the water surface. what height is best to keep from harming my corals and what precent should I run them to start off with? how long should I wait to raise the levels ?

Will i get more light depth from the 300w vs the 165w or is it same light just more bulbs?

Has anyone been using either the 165 or the 300w on a 40 breeder for frags (36" width)? I figure I would need the 300w or 2x 165? Any suggestions?

I've been running the 300w over a 65gallon, which is basically a taller take on the 40-B. I think it's a good fit, personally. Probably going to buy another one just like it, as I've just brought home a 220gallon tank . . .
