May meeting

WILDTHING

Well my tanks are looking good, the weather is nice so I thought I'd like to host the May meeting.

I'd like to do a Sat meeting from around 12 till. I'll have food and Brownies, soft drinks and chips"n" stuff. Bring your fav beer.

After the meeting if anyone wants to go shooting there is a range @ 20min from my house. If you have a gun or guns bring them, if you want to go but don't have a gun Boris and I have some to share.

So, dates....Sun May 13th is Mothers Day, Mon May 28 is Memorial Day.

So Sat the 12 with Mothers Day on Sun
or
Sat the 19 (my vote)
or
Sat May 26 with Memorial Day on Mon
or
Sat June 2

Anyone who wants to come please LMK which date works best for you.

Darn - my wife leaves for India on the 20th and my daughter and son-in-law are coming in on the 25th.

I would love to go .... Don't count this toward the votes but I will be in Boston on the 19th , so if it turns out on another date I will try my best to make it ....

I'm in, but how do the Reef meetings turn into people drinking and busting off a couple of rounds? I can't wait! :uzi: Michael R

Ade, great idea re inviting the Richmond folks! Thanks for the idea. The range doesn't have skeet, just a 25 yard handgun area and a 50/100/150 yard rifle area.

Ok so I'm thinking Sat the 19th since it falls between Mothers day and Memorial day, hopefully people won't have plans. Eric, Shivaji if your plans change it would be great to see you.

I'm in if it is on the 19th... That is assuming I don't get pulled into last minute overtime at work. As far as directions go, I believe Google Maps said to drive 30 miles past B.F.E., hang a left and go till you run smack dab into the middle of nowhere. Does that sound about right?? Looking forward to seeing your tanks, cant wait!

no worries, i know the way quite well. she lives sorta next to what used to be my grandparent's farm.

Jorge

bummer, we'll miss you.

Colleen,

A couple questions about the shooting range. Are there targets/backstops at the distances you mentioned? We need to bring paper targets I presume. Are there shooting benches/tables? Any other comments?

Thanks,

Paul

Paul, The range has a 25 yard handgun section with 3 shooting benches I think. The other section had 6-8 shooting benches with 50-100-150 yr intervals . Both areas are covered.

There is wire strung between 2 metal posts at each section that you can hang your targets from.

Last night Boris mounted up bunches of spatter targets and a few sighting in targets that we can hang. I have tons of metal .22 targets that we use regularly. I also have a monster metal square about 10x10 that is fun to "ping" on.

I have 45, 9mm, 357 and 22 handguns which I have plenty of bullets for and which anyone is welcome to play with.

We also have 3 .22 rifles, 22-250, 270 also with bullets and available for use.

I'll have extra earplugs.

Feel free to bring any targets you might like/have but if you don't have any I should have plenty to go around.
