Very nice, but did you change out the bulbs for a lower Kelvin rating? Cause I personally like the bluer look.

[<Sweet looking set up!

Thanks mg426

Nope, same bulbs. The white balance on my camera is probably set differently.

Your display tank is a beautiful thing.
Congrats on your one year tank anniversary, very impressive work you've done.

Those power bright LED's are expensive, but dang they make the corals POP! Great tanks keep up the great work!

is that a Golden Birds nest?

If you're talking about the Bird's nest at the top left center of this picture, yes.

Thank you all for the kind words.

Now I'm almost in the mood to take it all down and start from scratch again. I love the build part of the hobby.

What keeps all of you engaged in the hobby?

I agree that it is the best part! Then again if you leave it setup and wait (the sucky part) You can see how your reefs grow and change!

Nice work! As to your fan question, go to marinedepot.com and search fans. You may find what your looking for. Good luck and happy reefing!

its kinda funny,,, your frag tank is turning into a display as well, the frags are becoming full pieces. awesome job

Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy watching things progress and it's not like there's nothing to do to keep things going. It's tons of work as you all know with regular W.C.'s, chemistry checks, cleaning, etc. It's also fun to see all the interaction that goes on in there along with the occasional "where did that come from" thing we all say when something shows up in the tank that you have never seen.

I guess it's just missing the rush of putting all together, making mistakes and fixing them, getting new equipment and livestock that was such a blast for me although too expensive to do all over again. I'm sure many have experienced this and I'm just curious to what has kept many engaged that have been doing this for years and years.
