Mike's 200g

Another picture. The picture is darker than my tank looks and I know its not in very good focus. even though the color and everything is not quite right, there is something about it I like . The red velvet pops for me (even though not in focus) and I love it when he flashes and shows off.

Nice. I think the light is good. May look darker than your tank looks to you but it gives the colors more richness.
Now.. Focus, or actually depth of field. You have to start lowering the aperture or raising the aperture number. You could put the camera in aperture more and adjust as high as you can while having a useful shutter speed.
Not sure what ISO you are using.. You could try bumping it up to 800 ish for more shutter speed..
If you are right up against the glass, you can go pretty low.. If you are holding the camera, about 1/30th is about as low as you can go but you have to be steady.
Do You have a depth of field preview button?

Love that wrasse, by the way!

Thanks reefmutt, I don't know if my camera has that feature but I will see.

Love the colours on the ORA Borealis. Old school acro, but a very nice one.

Yeah I like it too. I have had it for a while and it's cloloured down since I moved tanks but continues to grow. I'm hoping it's still just settling in and the brighter green it used to have will come back. It does look really good if I just run the UV channel on the radions.

Well little bit of a set back in the tank... Noticed some red bugs! See them on a couple of the smooth skins. Some on mine and some on a couple acros I have been watching and keeping for some when else as they had some stn ten problems. Not sure how to go about getting interceptor? Listeni,g to any suggestions or other eradication methods I don't know

Oh no.

Try a vet, I know mine carries it now, we have ti for the dog and I didn't even know it until I saw the box laying around.

Sorry about the Redbugs. Its not so bad though...just get hold of the tablets and dose the tank. Please do document any improvements in SPS colours after the Redbugs are gone. Good luck.

What a pain... Easy fix with the meds.. It's probably harder to find the intercepter than to actually get rid of the bugs...
Good luck!

You can easily get the meds from the land of Roos and Koalas...it just takes a couple of weeks or so. But easy enough to get hold of.

Oh really? Shipped to US?

Yup. Just search on google. I am not allowed to link or even chat about where to purchase. There may be a thread or two about it as well where the talk of obtaining it hasnt been moderated. :reading:

Better be careful how much you say Sahin :lmao:
Thanks for the tip. I may have a lead closer to home but if not I will start the search

Bummed to hear you have those bugs Mike :(

A dose of poison will sort them out in no time mate

Cheers Biggles. Even with the bugs most things don't look too bad. My guess is I have probably had them a little while just havnt really noticed in till now.

Well got to keep some pictures on each page so here you go.
Pink lemonade, the got broke to pieces when trying to get it off the rocks in the old tank, starting to get a little color back. And, my beautiful blue wild piece.

A nice maricultured piece starting to turn yellow was brown until I got it in the new tank and put it directly under the radion puck.
