MikeTR's 180g mixed reef adventure

Nice Mike, how is the pump working out in the stand? I had my reeflo hammerhead in my stand and it made a nice acoustic hum that drove my wife crazy so I had to put it outside just like you did with your chiller. I almost have the same storage container. I like the setup.

It's got a slight hum to it but the skimmer (SRO-3000ext) is slightly louder and drowns it out. I do have a slight gurgle problem in the right overflow which I can't seem to fix, nor do I have someone readily available to give me a hand with taking the canopy off to get in there. I can prop up the lid, but there's a lot of weight with reflectors and wiring so I don't like to. Canopy coulda been built a little sturdier IMO.

Clam is still doin good at 5 months.. wish I could say as much for my Seriatopora's.. I seem to be killing off the "easier to keep" sps. Acros, LPS, zoas, just about everything else, looks great!

Been a while since I've posted an update:

Now just need a decent camera to show it off. iphone rarely cooperates, most of the time everything is washed out blue. running solely 3 x 150w 14k phoenix for majority of the lighting period so not sure why it has issues. once the stunner strips kick on for nighttime viewing, forget about any pics.
