Minh 320 Reboot

Well, I got water in my tank, and took all the rock from the bay and put into my tank. I am terrible at aqua-scape and not at all happy with the arrangement. I am thinking of draining the water and redo it semi dry, climb into the tank and all. Now i need to gather water holders to hold 300 gals of water.
This is going to be a all weekend project.

Here are some of the picture of the tank, an a few selected hitch-hikers. The rock is really great with lots of live, but also a lot of aptasia (too many to count) and some gobies and all kinds of fauna and flora, even fishes. The are kinda nice, all about 1 inch or smaller. I counted about 10+ of them.

I spend all day redo my aquarium. I bought a bunch of plastic containers, 37 gal, and pump all the water out. Clean the tank, caught almost all the hitchhiker blennies and return them to the CC Bay.
With my wife help I try to arrange the rock on my floor and then get them back to the tank. Got about twice as much rock as I needed so a huge amount ended up in the sump and fill it up. Aching all over from working in then tank with bend-over back. The rocks are not as precarious as suggested in some of the pictures. I actually drilled the rock and stake them with rods. Difficult thing to do since rock are fragile and some of the break apart when I hammer drilled them or as I put the stake in.
This is the result. I have to say that I like it much better. Now I needed to get a bunch of turbo and get them in there and will get some sand from the Gulf of Mexico and put in there.

I put two of my MP60 in the tank. I decided to send two of my older MP60 in for service and upgrade to QD-MP60. They will be send in next week. Hope that I will get them back soon.

Thanks. I had the Centurion 16,000 W natural gas standby generator.
schprock,
Did you restart your tank since the move? Have another Gigantea yet?

Yes I did. The tank has been running since late last summer. Also picked up a gigantea from a local reefer.

I am happy with the progress. Especially happy with the progress with my QT system. It is a perfectly healthy reef at this time. Below are pictures of this system. A 40 gal breeder reef with a few animals in it. Specifically there is a rock full of aptasia and tube worms, perfect for a new imported CBB QT. I have already use this as a QT system. My Maxima and Gigantea are doing well in this system.

FTS today. My Reef is without any fish or snails other than those that coem on with the rock. No Tang or Fox Face. It is already algae free. I got a Free living population of Isopods that are veracious algae eater. The wipe out the algae from the tank in just a few days. The tank full of turf algae prior to the population explosion of these free living Isopods.
