Wrasse are coming. I think I move the wrasses in QT to the DT soon. I have two Hooded Fairy Wrasse and a Powder Blue tang coming. They will go into QT. My Purple tang is already in DT and my Labouti and Carpenter wrasse will go to DT soon.
I spend last night building the two screen top for my 320 gal DT. Each opening is roughly 3'X3'. Below are two picture. Completely cover the top, other than the overflow, internal part. I will have to get a piece of glass or acrylic and put this on top of the overflow and nothing will get out. Screen is 1/4 inch mesh.

I need to run to Petco! Great find!

That looks standard window screen frame from Home Depot Justin. I used it on my tank as well with the same screen mesh.

Nice Minh. What material is the white border? Acrylic

I got the mesh from BRS. The frame is aluminum frame for window screen I got from Home Depot. You need to get the aluminum, the corners, and the cord used to jammed the screen to the frame. Just check to make sure that they are for the same size. Size of the corner to the size of the aluminum. and size of the rubber cords to the grove in the aluminum window screen frame. I used hot glue gun to hold the corner in place. I don't really needed this but this way the frames stay together permanently.

Nice and really vibrant colored fish. I forgot, but did you get a mate or harem for him yet?

Wrasse experts do not recommend keeping pairs or harems of flasher or fairy wrasses. They will all turn males WW III erupt every time (given a little time). Non-dated recommendations always one per species per tank.

Huh, I always thought harems were ideal. I have a harem currently of black leopard wrasses but they are pretty communal, unlike some of their cousins. Everyone gets along peacefully, it also helps that I have lots of pods and feed frozen throughout the day.

I got a Lubbock Fairy wrasse yesterday. Put my Laboutei in my DT. My Purple Tang already in it. In my QT are my Yellowfin, Carpenter flasher wrasses and the new Lubbock Fairy.
At the LFS and at Local Petco, there are two Blueside fairy wrasse, C. cyanopleura, for sale. The one at Petco is much cheaper but thinner. I am tempted to get one. Both are eating well. I don't know if I want to QT both the Lubbock and the Blueside at the same time.

Did not get the Blue Side Fairy. The Lubbock disappeared into the rock work and not seen anymore. Hope he is OK but not holding much hope.
Here is the picture of the two Flasher wrasses, Yellow-fin (terminal male) and Carpenter (sub male)

Last Thursday I got this emaciated PBT from Live Aquaria, along with two emaciated Hooded Fairy Wrasse. One of the wrasse was DOA and the other died shortly there after. I think the quality of fish from Live Aquaria (not DD) really goes down hill.
Anyway, they refunded me for the Wrasses. The PBT start eating so I think he will be OK.
It was really sad to see such emaciated but beautiful wrasse. There was nothing I could do for them.

Here is my new Powder Blue Tang. I hope to document his recovery. This is the first picture. Poor guy.

I wrote off my Lubbock Wrasse too quickly. I just saw her tonight in the dark. Hopefully this mean she will be out tomorrow so I can feed her. She is a beautiful small female. Not as thin as I remembered. Maybe she was able to feed behind the rock work.

Just 1 week of heavy feeding, my poor PBT is no longer emaciated. Still thin but I think he is going to be just fine. Here is a picture of him, much better and a straight on picture show him to be full, not as bloated as some of my pigs in the past, but he will eventually develop that beer belly.

I got this pair of baby Regal angels yesterday from a friend. One is 1.5 inches and the other is a tad larger. Both are in my DT at this time. Can see both here. Doing well. The Purple tang bother them a bit but not anything they cannot handle. Wish me good luck please
