Mini Maxi Carpet?

Hi everyone. I was thinking about getting a mini maxi carpet in my biocube 29. Currently I have the top off fixed with a Fluval sea LED system that is supporting my corals. If I were to get a mini maxi, do you think it will move enough to harm my corals that are half way up my rock work eve though they stay on the sand bed?

It will climb into your rocks more than likely. But having said that they should play nice with your corals. In fact I would imagine corals may start something before the mini will. IMO of course.

So in other words they're sting isn't as powerful as other carpets like haddoni or gigantic?

I have one. It likes to live on the sand interface with a rock. This rock happens to be a very large chalice. The anemone has killed the chalice when it extends itself about 1/2 inch up. The chalice is big, so I really don't care that it killed it a little on the edge. So in this case the coral came out on the losing end.

No their sting is pretty good they just don't seek out corals to fight.

its sting is just like an average corals sting is. if anything is to close, it will sting

they move and love to eat. they dont cause much harm to corals. mine is next a green cap.

The 2 I have are on the same rocks they have been on for at least 3 years. I have put all kinds of stuff around and near them over the years and no stinging.

Thats right. They dont move much, and they do love to eat. Ive lost several fish to mini carpets.

As Kamao said +1. I'd be more worried about fish than corals. My maxi's love to eat fish which is why I now have none left in my system. Nom, nom.

wait so do you think it will eat my clowns or diamond watchman goby? they are 2 and a half inch clowns and 3-4 inch goby?

I think they will eat mostly perchers, those should be fine. Mine have never eaten anything but I have also not had small perching fish.

Alright I feel better about getting it ill just feed my fish first before him so that theuvwont attempt to steal the food out of his mouth
