Minimalistic or not, that is one of the sweetest aquascapes i've ever seen. Good job!

I tried to go mimimalist with the rock design but still have room for corals. There is about 40 lbs of rock in a 48 gallon tank. Here's a photo when I first set up the tank:

It doesn't look so empty now that it's full of corals, though...

Wow! I usually don't like towers and I didn't like the look of that in the first pic. BUT the way you put the corals in there makes it look AWESOME!!!! That's a really, really cool tank! I love the way you have corals with different lighting requirements riding up the tower.

wow, glad i stubled upon this, i wasnt looking to set up my tank with a huge amount of rock.. and now i have a bit of insperation

Terrific thread guys. I am motivated to thin out some rock and keep
the "cool pieces". It will also give me a chance to get that sohal tang
that is ruling the tank a little too much.

Here is my tank a little more things not so new. A lot more algae, bryopsis i think. Its slowly dying off. Any tips?

Completely normal for a new set up. If the tank is still new, it will likely clear up on its own. I am assuming you are using RO/DI for your source water.
