ok maybe not red im more of a wenge guy myself but i have always wanted something off the wall pushing the limits. Great lofts i will refer my clients to preview that property it looks very nice. Let me know if you guys are looking in L.A. i specialize in Loft and Modern properties in Downtown and on the West side

Why not use red, yellow, white poster board to test the look on that cube? Then if you decide it is good, paint that color.

I would love to find a Wenge veneer but I had looked for a while before building the tank and could not find one.

What a great post! I have followed it since it started. I don't have a modern setup but I feel that may look interesting for some of you. The good thing here is the ideas of how to setup the tank and the surroundings.

This is my 125 gallons reef tank.

That's really nice. I need to start copying y'all on that, considering how many pictures I take every week.

As an architect by trade, and the fact that I love this thread I will put in my thoughts for modern design. Lots people with aquariums of any kind usually initially look for an aquarium design to be purely aesthetic. I am one of these people. I want to oooh and ahhh the entire space (which includes my aquarium). If you are retrofitting an aquarium into your house or apartment, then you have to be pretty creative on where your tank(s) will be most effective. Also, if you are building a home with the intent on an in wall tank or free standing tank, a space is created just for the aquarium....right? I think though that you can have your tank in a modern or traditional space and have it still be very pleasing, whether minimal or not. Personally, I like a full aquarium, but aquascaped in such a way that you can see everything and that it does not look so crowded.

Ok now if that is clear as mud, or very obvious....Sorry. But nice tanks and a great idea for a modern tanks thread.

My one month old tank. Still a long way to go.

Hi Chinchai

This is a beautiful tank, is it a ZeroEdge model? If so, I was unaware that the cabinet was also available in white!
Do you have more pictures of the set-up? Or is there a thread about it?

Dietger. Thanks.
This is the copycat of ZeroEdge. It is custom-made.
I will post a thread of this tank soon.

Splendidly done, I absolutely love the white design! Is it acrylic as well?
Was it custom made somewhere in Bangkok, or did you have it made elsewhere and flown over?
Could you maybe send me a pm with some info about where you had it made?

Thanks a lot
Dietger

Not sure if this is modern but this is my current build in progress 4 weeks up and running:
