Monti on monti

I've been seeing a lot of monti discussion today so i figured why not join in. I have seen and heard about gluing monti frags on top of other monti colonies. Will they go to war with each other and do I simply just glop some glue down on it and stick a piece in it? Never done it, but would love to try and create something colorful looking. I just have a red cap, green cap and Idaho grape cap.

I was wondering more about monti caps. I guess an encrusting monti would look cool over time if it encrusted the whole plate. Nice piece by the way onereef, where is it positioned in the tank? What kind of lights are you running and any advice as to where to place my superman monti?

about the caps, it depends on a lot of factors.. I've got a green and orange close to one another, the green plates outward whereas the orange tends to scroll upward, I could probably glue a nice sized piece of orange onto the green without issue, but like any other corals Im sure one of them would become dominant and eventually out-compete the other in some manner.

they should whirl around each other unless one is really faster, or stronger, there was someone else on here that had 3 he whirlded together like that looks nice.

I'm trying to do something like that with one frag each of green, purple, and orange cap. I have them arranged in a semi-stack with a bit of each frag overlapping the other. I'll have to see how it turns out. If anybody else has done something like this, I'd love to see pictures!
