Sorry for the OT, but where in your tank to you have your spongodes positioned? Mine has never really thrived in my tank. Not died either, just kind of stagnated. Virtually no PE, dull colors, very little growth.

Yep, will be weeding out those 4 year old Sunset, Rainbow, Superman, Setosa
and Purple Haze colonies which have taken over most of my live rock in my 300 tank! single rock colonies with nothing else on it for sure if you want to keep monti's!
 
I had a purple Montipora capricornus that started as a small potato chip and grew to 24" across. I finally removed it from the tank as it was not only a ginormous calcium sponge but blocked flow substantially running from one side of the tank to the other.
