Mo's 6ftx8ftx3ft SPS Reef Tank

You have nice selction of sps. How many different sps you have in total? Are they mostly propagated or wild caught? Do you qt any new fish and corals?

Nice build and beautiful colors on the SPS's. One question, as I read through the thread it went from the rock being placed in the tank to a full reef. How long did you let it cycle before putting all the animals inside?

Thanks Zaheda,

They are a mix, depending on what comes in the shop.

I have a 3ft QT tank for all fish and corals.

Thanks,

I had the rocks cycling in the tank for about 6 weeks. I had some early problems, so there was a good time for the biology to develop for the first 6 months or so.

I have a few live rock branches to place coral on now, but >95% is ceramic rocks.

stunning Mo...simply stunning. Are you any closer to figuring out an LED solution? I was told the price of the Lani units the other day...I dont know how factual the price was but it did make me whimper....nevertheless they look like amazing lights.

That first accro you posted is simply breathtaking. Any ID on it?

OMG. I think I just found my new favorite reef tank. I love all those efflos!! Definitely one of my favorite plating corals.

I missed that one. Thx for the link. Is it really that blue in your tank, or is that just an artifact of the camera?

It's blue!.
Radiums and blue T5's at the moment. I switched from Reeflux 10k and blue T5's. The T5's still had a few month's life. Weighing up options at the moment.
