What size tank? Reef or FOWLR?
That is very unusual behavior - most foxfaces are very skittish. I've had mine for years and he still hides whenever I approach the tank, especially if I've got to put my hand in.My Foxface eats from my hand, feels funny to have him nibbling on my fingers. He's always right next to the glass when I come by, looking at me with 1 eye. He's about 6".

My solorensis boxfish is probably the most personable fish I've even had. She rushes to the front of the tank even if she just sees me in the hall (yes, I know she really only hoping to score some pellets, but still . . .). She's totally a pet. Dogface puffers are also really great in this way.
Mine (Foxface Lo) is in a 185 (5x2x2.5). He's much better than he used to be, but is still pretty skittish.I feel like the problem is the tank size. When the Foxface was in my 90, while the 210 was being built, he was always skittish. But in the 210, it's a different story. If it makes any difference, it's a Magnificent Foxface.
my vote goes to the Eyelash bleenie or lawnmower bleenie
