Most Interesting / Most Personality

I was wondering which fish people think have the most interesting behavior, or most personality. Such as barnacle blennies, watchman gobies triggerfish, jawfish, etc. I still don't have a tank set-up and am just looking for opinions.

What size tank? Reef or FOWLR?
I love my Harlequin Tusk and Blond Naso. My Naso will eat from my hand and allow me to pet it but also needs a decent size tank to swim.

I do not have one but puffers as well.

A bonded pair of clownfish also adds "personality" and an interesting dynamic to the tank.

My Foxface eats from my hand, feels funny to have him nibbling on my fingers. He's always right next to the glass when I come by, looking at me with 1 eye. He's about 6".

A porcupine puffer has to be one of the best, I use to have a baby that with in 3 days of being in my tank would swim right into my hand, let me pet him and be hand fed krill

That is very unusual behavior - most foxfaces are very skittish. I've had mine for years and he still hides whenever I approach the tank, especially if I've got to put my hand in.

My solorensis boxfish is probably the most personable fish I've even had. She rushes to the front of the tank even if she just sees me in the hall (yes, I know she really only hoping to score some pellets, but still . . .). She's totally a pet. Dogface puffers are also really great in this way.

It is hard to pick just one... My favorite personality is definitely the Marine Betta. He is so snobby. I know it is just his normal behavior to be very calm and reserved but it makes it seem like he is too good for the other fish and their shenanigans. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1369666498.971359.jpg

I don't keep these in my reef and I actually collected this guy in the sea and kept him until he grew to large, then I gave him to a public aquarium, but I have had a lot of burrfish, porcupine puffers and blowfish and I got to say, they seem to have the most personality and even facial expressions with their big eyes.

I feel like the problem is the tank size. When the Foxface was in my 90, while the 210 was being built, he was always skittish. But in the 210, it's a different story. If it makes any difference, it's a Magnificent Foxface.

Mine (Foxface Lo) is in a 185 (5x2x2.5). He's much better than he used to be, but is still pretty skittish.

I had kind of a revelation about these fish while diving the GBR. There were dozens of them, foxfaces and other rabbts, swimming in a huge pack with parrots and big tangs. They were every bit as big as some of the tangs. Mine is fat and healthy, but looks kind of cramped to me and I've been wondering if he would be better off in a bigger tank.

Tailspot blenny, or starry blenny. They're funny little fishes who like to perch and watch things. And the starry entertains you with his lightning-fast color and pattern changes.

I have a pair of Blue Throat Triggers that are very personable and entertaining. They will spit streams of water at me when begging for food. They also eat out of my hand. They snack on my crabs and shrimp from time to time, but not all that frequently.

Lionfish top my list of most personable. I haven't kept any yet, but will have a few lionfish/scorp species in the coming months. Many places say they will beg for food once you are seen as the source of food to the tank. I'll see how it goes!

I like my hippo tank. She is so cool now that she hss become comfortable with my reef.
She learned when it was feeding time and would come out of her cave.
Now she thinks it's feeding time all the time. She even comes up to the top to take food off of the tongs.
Great personality and interaction. Besides my four year-old loves her Dory.
