Mounting SPS on the overflow

I am running out of real estate, mostly do to excessive shading from growth, but want to utilize my overflow as it is a little bulky, but gets plenty of light and flow.

What are the pros and cons of doing this?

Is it as easy as super gluing the frag disks to the overflow? I'd imagine the glass would be more difficult, but my overflow has a fairly course texture which I think glue would stick to?

Anyone done this?? any pics?

I have seen it done plenty of times!

But maybe you could glue to a magnet. So then if something starts to happen moving it will not be a problem.

I have used mini mag floats to do this many many times. I found that it works best if you use some sand paper to rough up the mag float, they seem to be too smooth and will pop off easily later

they sell little magnetic pieces of live rock for this purpose. Its a piece of LR cut flat and has a couple rare earth magnets in it. You can attach the coral to the rock, and magnet the coral to the overflow.

You can move them later if needed without stressing the coral. I haven't used them, but I've seen them online and they look pretty realistic to live rock
