mouth wide open on my new carpet. help!

hi guys
picked up my first anenome for this tank...its a yellow carpet. i bought it two days ago and this afternoon since adding my new skimmer the mouth has been wide open. im concerned its not going well....is this normal for it being in a new tank?

Can you show us a picture?

What are the water values? (ph....)

What was the salt like where you got it?

How are the lights compared to where you bought it?

What is the flow like?

Did or have you tried feeding it?

You have a 12g, when was your last water change?

First of all, yellow carpets are typically bleached. Secondly, if this is in the 12 gallon, that is not a suitabable set-up for a carpet anemone save for maybe a maxi-mini. Lastly, tanks should be pretty established before adding any anemone.

As others have mentioned, we need more information before we can help you. But, as you have assumed, an open mouth is not a good sign and indicates a problem.
