Moving with fish from Canada to the US?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection deals with people, commodities and agriculture. CBP probably would not be able to give you information on importing fish. You can check the website www.cbp.gov, but I would recommend you contact U.S. Fish and Wildlife, their website is www.fws.gov
They are responsible for animals and wildlife and could probably give you some idea of what you need to do to get your animals through U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

I hope this helps!!!

(CBP's website might also answer a few of your questions regarding U.S. visas also.)

Actually, it's US customs you will deal with and there is a world of difference.

I have been to Canada and back a couple of times, once dealing with customs in airports and once driving: locations a thousand miles apart.

Similar experiences both times. For one example my brother and I drove to Detroit to pick up an electric kiln. We decided to stay the night in Windsor since it's right there (I didn't think at the time how a big metal wrapped cylinder across international border could be bad). Going into Canada no problem, friendly, ask the usual questions, no big deal. Coming back: rude, treat you like a terrorist, stop car in terminal, wait in building with people ready to arrest you if they find reason, search your vehicle, examine large metal object, 90 minutes later maybe you can drive 6 hours home.

Do I feel safer, no. More jaded, yes.

In fact the lack of common sense makes me scared on a few levels.

Long story short: sell them in Canada and buy more in US. Your money will go further and you will maintain the presumed virginity of your anus.

I grew up about 40 minutes from the canadian border. I haven't crossed back and forth in years (since at least 2001) and I remember the good old days of hardly having to slow your car down and just being waved through by a customs person too lazy to sit up in their booth.

Its sad to see it change so much.
