Mr. Peanut's paradise (40Breeder)

Soon the rockwork will be inside the tank i'm just finishing mixing the water soon. so it would not be suggested to keep am mp10 if the tank is in my room? So far everything is going good i bought 20 gallons of RO/DI from fish pros so up to now i think i have 35 gallons in there.

Luis some fine adjustments will usually take care of the noise. Also you will need to use a cord hanger. When the tank is full you will want the cord running straight up and the cordhanger will hold the unit in place. Otherwise it will drift down and out of adjustment. If you are down my way I have extras and I'll set you up. :)

Cool thank you Grant. I am now wondering if i should still order a second mp10 our get a Koralia. Right now i have a Aqueon 500, an mj400 and the mp10 running in the tank to mix the salt and water. When this is done i will be giving the mj400 to my brother and keep the Aqueon 500 and the mp10 only. Should i buy another mp10 or spend that money instead on a reef keeper lite?

I would get the controller, you wont be needing mad flow for a while. Get the tank running, buy test kits place the rockwork and wait for the algae to take over lol. The controller would be what I would get and do a real clean job routing cables and cords. Zip ties help and dont forget drip loops on your cords. Oh and enjoy;)

Agreed. Reef controller. I got an apex jr. Reef keeper elites should be great too!

Make sure it has an iPhone app control. I love using it to turn things on and off. Most reef controller interfaces kind of suck. iPhone app controls give you much more versatility without going through 3-4 levels of menus to find you want to turn your tank lights on or motors off, etc.

As of MP10/40, I only meant if you use the "reefcrest" modes you can hear it whirring up an down at times.

Sounds good i guess later on if i need more flow then i can always buy another power head :) i know it's a bad test kit but i got it just to use until my cycle is over then i will but the better ones, until then I'll be using the API test kit.

What happened with the broken skimmer?

i was offered a new skimmer body or a $15 discount if i wanted to repair it. I opted for the money back since it was not really bad i just used some loctite super glue around the whole seam and today it was working good with no leaks.

Got a small bag of hawaiian live sand from petsmart 2 days ago and used some for the sump and the rest i dumped in the dt, i have to say i like it. its a mix of black and white sand and it looks pretty cool i just might have to go swoop on another 2 or 3 bags.

News for today (tonight) tank is fully wet, rockwork is in and getting moist, sump is up and running. Only thing needed to do is wait for the stupid light sockets, should arrive no later than this Sunday or i will be ****ed.

yeah as soon as the lights are up and running then i will have to wait very patiently until the whole cycle has gone by before i start to add inhabitants, first the clean up crew then fish then some frags :) oh i really cant wait to wait hehehe

Sounds like it is coming together pretty nicely. Can't wait to see some pics.

Well the one good thing about waiting is that it is the cheapest parts of reefing :)

Yeah so far so good. All i still need to buy now is the sand and a controller then its just a waiting game.

So far everything is going pretty smooth. Skimmer is working great getting me some great green tea :) still waiting for the light sockets hope they're here tomorrow.

Now a new fts, enjoy :)

Looking good. The curve of that arch should be higher so you might want to push the left base in a little so the arch will rise a bit. Also the middle piece at the bottom should be in the back pointing to the back wall.
