Mr. Peanut's paradise (40Breeder)

Looking good. The curve of that arch should be higher so you might want to push the left base in a little so the arch will rise a bit. Also the middle piece at the bottom should be in the back pointing to the back wall.

Thanks to you Tom, i think i'm going to have to take out the rocks again soon when i get the substrate just need a little more cash add soon as that's done I'll pull out the pic Fromm the meeting and set it up correct.

This was kind of my vision when I created that rock structure. So here is an idea for you on what to put on top of your arch.

that looks awesome i know it will take a long time for mine to look that good i hope i can get that far, the only problem i see is that the top of the arch in my tank is about 2 inches from the top

So does the Modelo just gravity drip into the sump?:lolspin:

looks good

What skimmer do you have running in there? it looks like one of the SCA skimmers. i have one of the SCA skimmers and the pump went out after only 4 months arg.

It would if i did not drink it first.

Yeah its the sca-302 i hope the pump does not go out on me its bad enough they sent me one that was broken to begin with.

Very nice lighting, what kind is it? are those the triple pucks?

No they are actually GU10 leds i got from Ebay. The whole system cost me around $90 i'm hoping they do work good if not its not much money wasted..i have been hearing some very good things about them on nr.

They are nice looking LED, I think they will work. If you want more light you can always add couple T5s latter to round out the colors.

After looking at your photo closely, I noticed that the LEDs colors has some disco effect. I can see straight beems of the two colors. I think if you bunch the bulbs closer together length wise the colors might blend better.

Yeah i do have a GLO T5HO ballast i can use but its only good for 2 24" bulbs.

I also did notice the disco effect on the lights, guess i need to order a few more to bunch them closer and have enough coverage.

Nice. Never knew gu10s were these type of bulbs. I thought the gu10 was something else, those 120w premade fixtures.

Are you using these on your sump as well?

Well, there is that kind of GU10 and this kind. No i have a PC light in my sump but might just use the ones over my spec later on.

You might not need more bulbs. Maybe as a test, put all the white on one strip (closer together than you have it now) and mount it in the center of the tank. Put all the blues on another strip (again closer together) and mount it in the front of the tank but angle it back about 15 degree or so. You don't need to spread the bulbs all the way to the edge like you have now.

Yeah i will have to try that out i do still have 2 more of each color but those are over my spec right now until this tank is cycled.

This build is gong very nicely. What are the next steps?

Carbon & gfo reactors, dosing pumps, kalk, co2 reactor?
