I'm running a Mag24 on my MR2, it works pretty well but not as well as the pressure pumps from what I understand. I can see how more PSI would generate more and smaller bubbles. I get a lot of funk out with the Mag24 however, so you might want to try it and swap the pump out later since you have that one on hand.

I just bought a used MR-2, and I am wondering if my panworld 100PX (790 GPH, pressure rated) is adequate for the skimmer. My system will be about 150 gallons, BB sps only, and I have an H&S A110-200 that I will run along side the MR-2. My plan is to run the H&S for wet skimmate, and the MR-2 for dry.
I would like to avoid buying a new pump, so please tell me if the panworld is ok for the MR-2. Thanks.

That pump will work but it is about the smallest pump that is worth putting on there. Just keep in mind that you could easy get another 30-40% out of that skimmer with a stronger pump.
From my expierence your better off running the H&S dry and the MRC wet. IMO needlewheels are better at make small amount of dark skim and becketts are better at wet skimming.

If the output of your drain is not submerged then you won't have a syphon.
