MTRC nomination for 2011

On the other hand, more people spreads responsibilities out so there is less of a burdon on any one board member. :D

However, that being said, I think it makes sense (at least to me) for the Secretary to be responsible for all "PR" responsibilities. I believe one person could handle both tasks.

Agree with you there Andy we should take a vote on it and see what the concenses is and if we need to go back the way it was that fine, If the vote goes the other way that's fine too.

We still need a secretary and that i Will nominate Jay for as he wants to be part of the board and i think he fits well with the rest of the group running. If he will accept I think we have a great group of people lined up for a new board.

I am going to defer to pandarian. If Donny has the time he can run the show. I really won't have time to be a bod but can consult and assist in the website if needed.

PR was never a BOD position and a vote will be held to put it back that way If i or Mel are elected, It is a unnecessary position IMO
 
Donny are you in? Andy has offered his help if needed but will be Mia for a while so if you will we would love to have you! And Thanks to Andy for his service in the setting of the site in the first place.

Actually Bill PR and IT were voted to be board positions last year. I could care less if the are or not. But as it stands right now they were voted to be board positions and so they still have to be elected. Like I said I am indifferent to whether they are or not but there at least needs to be a vote to remove or keep them as a part of the board.
 
Then we may want to start a vote to eliminate PR as it's not needed. IT yes, but I think Bill and Mel can handle the rest.
 
My .02 - let's try w/o the PR position. The IT position is important and needed, but should not carry BOD "powers".

It's good to see that people feel the same way I always did about the PR position and about the IT person having BOD "powers"... It feels like good changes are coming soon for this club.

I couldnt think of anyone better than Bill as pres. and cant speak for anyone else nominated because I dont know them myself but I'm sure they will do great.

Cant wait to see where this goes as I plan to still be around this hobby once I get everything back together...
 
Like I said I don't mind one way or the other. it was a good thing we had them on the board this year with as many changes thy happened on the BOD otherwise it would have been just me and Zef.

I'll make a thread tomorrow. And run it for a week but what I see on this thread that it's will be a no brainier.

I guess it's up to Andy. I don't want to take it if he is still interested in holding the position. Besides, don't we have to be voted into these positions? ;)

For the voting rights of IT or PR... I haven't read the bylaws but what does the BOD vote on? I was just wondering because, IMO, I have always thought it would be better if all of the club members vote on a decision. Putting a decision on the 4 board members has typically been a recipe for chaos from what I've seen in the past.
