Good lord! I just can't believe it makes your clothes stink. Brutal.

We've had birds fall down our chimney into the fireplace and when they're dead they reek. Once discovered a abandoned hornets nest in a bathroom exhaust duct, that stunk too. Been a tough winter for animals. I'll put my money on a displaced varmint.

Don't have much. It sounds like it would drive me crazy My daughters home had a moldy odor in the kitchen dining area. Tuned out the wall was full of live bee hives. Does the house have a crawlspace;is the vent blocked?. Can you move a little air into the tank cabinet.?

Sister had a large opossum die under her house, she smelled for a couple weeks.

More than usual, I mean.

Dead stuff stinks - but typically would be worse when it starts to warm up. Maybe it died during the winter and now it's starting to thaw out and rot?

I've got rental properties and have had luck using those odor absorbers that you can pick up at home depot to get rid of old cooking smells, pet smells, etc.
