my 240

Hi Ace,

Are you have problem with heat from the Solar Tubes? I don't recall - but did you use any color filter?

Now, it is getting warmer. I find my tank gets heat up pretty quick :( TIA

Hey Ace... just wondering about the Green Goniopoa; how much does that thing cost? I've got a huge one and when it opens its "tentacles" it's volleyball size +.

How much did the solar tubes cost you? If you don't mine me asking. I couldn't find any prices on that site. VERY nice corals/pictures BTW!

brooks, i paid $35 for that here in SA at B&B.

moses, i paid $1300 shipped for everything needed. a friend and i installed them in a few hours.

Not bad. Do you have to call them to find out the price?

here is a quick update on the ats - 9 days running

also, nice surprise this morning. i got a chili coral a while back and cut it in half to put it in two different locations in the tank. needless to say, it wasnt too happy with me and looked pretty rough for a while. this morning, like a switch, both pieces decided to perk up :)

yep, just carbon for mechanical filtration.

the tank gets sunlight from before 7 am to about 7pm, with it being as bright or brighter than it was with halides from about 11am to 4pm in the summer and from 12 to 2 in the winter.

when giving the fish their fourth meal of the night, i noticed the colors looking from the top and the camera was in reach. this is with the camera adjusting the white balance - proved to be a little difficult for it tonight. i even decreased the saturation on the computer so they would look realistic
