My 240g sps reef.

Beautiful system, Peder!
It's always an amazing transformation a tank goes through when the corals really grow out.
Nicely done!

I spend hours looking at my crappy tank. Staring at yours would be a full-time job for me. :D
Thanks :)
As a tank owner, for some reason, you always focus on the crappy side of things in your own tank.
It helps with guys like you to tell me it looks ok., to make me believe it:lol2:

Awesome looking tank. Coral everywhere! The last picture in post #13 is great. I can only imagine the shading issues with those big columns, I'm getting some I have to deal with and my rock work is much lower.

Very nice Peder, thanks for sharing your beautiful reef!
Thanks.
An thanks for stopping by :)

Tall an steep, does create a lot of problems with shading. But a lot of areas has been fixed with new "shelf's" from rock, reaching out from the columns.
I hope the rest can be fixed as it goes along, by selecting corals with less shading potential for the upper areas.
I hope to be completely satisfied within the next 15-20 years - but I know that may be to much to wish for, in this hobby:p

Your aquascape is amazing and the tank is beautiful.

Thanks.
And thanks for watching :)

Beautiful reef. Merry Christmas and Happy new year

Thanks, hope you enjoy the holidays :)

Tank looks awesome can we see any pics of sump and misc equipment

Happy to have you on board :)

And - hope I wont get kicked from the "sps keepers";) - but I traded an acro-frag for this little thing a few months ago. It keeps getting prettier as it grows

I demand an immediate ban:p
Not only you posted a "disqusting non acro-ed pic" but you also bravely admit that you traded an acro to get it!!!!!
Blasphemy!!

Just kidding peder....or not:p:p

I know.
I am ashamed of myself. Please forgive me.
:worried:

Is that a mushroom?
I messed up.
I might as well have shown you freshwater.

Trying to make things right, here is a few quick shots from the frag-tank.

Not sure what this one is called.

Great setup buddy! Everything looks nice and healthy
Thanks mate :)

Great pictures, I suppose we can forgive you. :lolspin:

How do you control Phosphate in here other than water changes and skimming? How often and how much do you feed?

Hope you have a terrific New Year!

Great colours in the acros

Have a happy new year 2016!
Thanks sahin. And back at you :)

I know I cant erase the pain the mushroom has caused. Thanks for your forgiveness.

I feed fish and corals every day, and use a lot. Like 5-10 cubes of frozen a day, dried flakes, reefpearls and lettuce.
I have some rowaphos on standby, but usually it maintains itself. Under my current conditions, i add a little dissolved nitrate and phosphate to maintain the values. (sangokai nutricomplete)
Just cleaned circulation pumps, and as usual my nutrient uptake is on the rise.

Thanks and the same to you:fun4:
