I have two of them that have been stored for 5 years. My Installer tells me both are bad. How can I check that out and would I usually buy the whole thing or parts come apart?

Water Storage & Mixing

Water Storage & Mixing

latest installation yesterday was for Two sixty five gallons each, water storage tanks. They are half full so far. Valves everywhere to do whatever we want.

New pump needed for mixing and pumping water to main tank.
Needed a pump that can pump up 15 plus feet and 25 feet horizontal piping plus bends etc...
Pump ---> PanWorld 150PS-MD55R External Water Pump - 1100gph
Specifications
Max Flow: 1100gph
Max Head: 28ft
Power: 180W
Fittings (Inlet/Outlet): 1" MPT / 1" MPT
Dimensions (L x W x H): 12" x 5" x 6.5"
Comparable to Iwaki: 55RLT

looks fantastic! that's exactly how i plan to design my two 105g containers. you have so much room, too - i'm jealous, haha. oh and that panworld does great. i have the 250PS as well and it dominated my 20 head height with ease and long service life with little else required other than the diligent maintenance. great pump alternative to a reeflo.

Thanks monkiboy... need to check out that pump in a few days. Glad to hear your experience with the 250 was good Hope it will be good with the 150

did you consider having a spigot of sorts to fill up a bucket or vessel in case you need RODI or fresh saltwater? or is that what is attached to those tees that are just cropped out of the frame?

There are two spigot on the bottom horz run to the right & left of the valves and a 5g buckets fits nicely under there and if we need to we can hook up a hose to the garden type valved connector.. not shown in the picture as you noted... nice to have the convenience.

I just realized that it would have been better to put those black handled valves on the other side of the hose type spigots. In case they leak would have been easy to replace.. Got to check with Matt the installer !!

My mushroom I call it and mm949 identified it for me as tonga rhodactis , Here as it was on10/14/2013

Look at its sibblings ready to come out and drop out? that is a question to U all. Are those baby

Identify My Wrasse

Identify My Wrasse

My three tangs I had bought 4 months ago from hobbyiest are doing well in their expanded size home from the crowded 65g they were in. They seem to get tired from swimming back & forth almost eleven feet in each direction. They do recognize who feeds them, that's for sure

Here are three pictures of wrasse I bought at same time. can someone please identify him for me and let me know what to expect of him. He is in the big tank so he is there to stay. Hope he will behave. Let me know identity and what to expect please and thanks

coming along and looking great! I can't wait to join you. Aquascape and sand washing then filling. Hope to be done this weekend.

Hard to tel what type of wrasse that is. Everytime you get a good pic something is blocking the fish. Looks like its in the same family of the melanarus but hard to tell because of the reflection from the pics.

Sorry, I don't mean to appear overly critical but your wrasse photos are not very helpful. Your statement that the belly is definitely not blue has me tending towards this image:

YellowHeadedWrasse09.jpg

Here they note that the blue-headed wrasse Thalassoma bifasciatum and the yellow-headed wrasse Halichoeres garnoti occasionally mess about with each other without their parents' permission under the coral overhangs creating hybrids with bits of colour from both parents. If the above image more closely resembles what you have then maybe that would explain the colour differences you describe.

Mine is like that picture you posted with yellow head section & yellow tail section. Now look at my last picture.. It seems to be a yellow head wrasse!! and yellow bottom wrSSE.. MESSING AROUND THANKS DAVE...... Real interesting fish and quite nice eye liner

A fellow friend/hobbyist came over with some large frags and took these pictures of the tank that is almost one month since we started filling it. Hope you like them. I do not know how to set my camera to take pictures with this nice color/hew

Is this guy that I removed off an Acro (no damage noticed on/to Acro) Reef safe. Is it one off those that live in acro and are OK?
