How is the skimmer performing after we talked did you reset it and leaving it alone and rechecking after a 24 hour period.
Please post some pictures of skimmer in action.

I backed it up and worked fine for about 12 hrs then stopped skimming. Left it there for 12 hrs no skimming. Appreciate your support and help.

Here is a picture taken when it was working fine. If it stays there I am a very happy candidate. But at night it starts dumping water and sometime it does it in daytime. I back the valve up (open the drain more) it works for a while then stops skimming. or..
How best to dial this huge skimmer up?
Can a nut that Matt dropped into the cylinder have a negative effect on performance?

Are the screws and wing nut's metal or plastic
Check with a magnet
Doubt metal but safer to check
if metal remove top and get out with a magnet
If plastic a pvc pipe with bubble gum on it will work
remove the top cone and go fishing

metal or plastic?

I would also say that if it stops foaming after you adjust then dont adjust it again. I really think you should reach out to Bill Wann if you havent done so already.

Wing nut is metal. So the magnet will be tried when cleaning the heads soon..
I am going to try what you Steve & Greg have suggested and that is clean the head and watch it skim if it overflows back it up and keep doing that till it stops the overflowing.. then stop adjusting it further even if it stops skimming and see how long it takes for it to start skimming again.

FYI this unit has its own air pump for whatever that is worth!!!

Thanks Vair. Wife & I really love it. Few hick-ups to remedy mainly Bubbles bubbles bubbles, MP60s falling off and skimmer doing it's own thing. BUT believe me we are very excited about the tank and we know our installer will get the issues resolved...

I think that this skimmer maybe made for much larger setups than mine in which case I will be out three big ones!! BUT I have not given up on it yet...

I added four new corals. Three are pictured here . The fourth is a multi head nuclear green candy cane.
Hope U like them as well as I do. Purchased from a friend/hobbyist. The Blue SPS is especially interesting to me.

Have you guys (Greg Steve Wayne) communicated with or fine tuned my skimmer long distance!!! For two days now all I do is leave it alone or turn it down (open the drain valve a notch) and keep my hand off otherwise (VERY DIFFICULT THING TO DO FOR ME) and for two days it has not spit water off like crazy and is skimming. The test will be clean it up, leave it dialed where it is at and witness how it works for a full week. Since I love how it is skimming today I will wait till the neck gets really dirty (I hope it does) or if it stops skimming

Glad to hear , let the skimmer do it's thing
Stop adjusting and let it get dirty it doesn't need cleaning daily
When the cup get's full then think about cleaning the neck
