Well I guess 90 days is something not that I agree with the installers statement of if something is going to happen it will happen then. Their guarantee won't cover the loss of live stock, damage to your house or any loss of equipment as a result of it leaking. I'm not trying to be negative but I don't know if I could sleep at night knowing that there were bubbles like that in my seams. I would be very unhappy with the installer because he saw the bubbles and accepted the tank.

You might want to check with home owners insurance to see if there is some kind of rider you can put on your policy.

+1. That's a lot of water. For any tank, but especially one that large everything should be perfect.
 
It is difficult for me to make out in your photos, but is there a eurobrace along the bottom of the tank? If not, that is certainly one thing that your installer could add that would make those bottom seams much more reliable.

Thanks to ALL for your support and ideas. I will be talking to my insurance company about insurance for the house. Meanwhile and till March 30 2014 I will watch for any changes in the size of the bubbles. Pictures of all bubbles will be posted sometime this week. Great support on this troubling issue is appreciated and now I will move on to enjoying and sharing this beautiful tank with U ALL..
 
Dwolsone2 I am using for lighting Maxspect Razor 160W 27"
Five on main tank one on frag tank and one on refugium.. I love those lights. Hoping they will be good for coral growth.. Anyone using them give my your opinion. They are here to stay but would like to hear from others of their experience with those lights. 16K on main tank and frag tank 10k on refugium
 
Dave .. there is a brace along the length of the tank front & back with a seam in the middle..and my installer says that brace looks good and him and GC say that is an important piece for the stability of the tank. I will be monitoring any changes over the next 4 months or so and if no changes then I will feel much better. Too late to do anything else at this time.. Thanks to U all... Matt , my system designer and installer and a very qualified person worked hard all day yesterday to setup two new electrical lines dedicated to this system. Was tough going to get wires into conduits with all the bends and twists .. Anyway his determination accomplished the job and now we have dedicated electrical services to the tank system.

This picture shows also the FR side center section with few frags/corals moved from their temporary home in the basement on the top in center of tank. Not very clear picture but corals doing fine.


Matt is on the right side in this picture adjusting the MP 60 before calling it quits at almost 9pm!!
 
Wow looking good. Can't say anything about the lights, as I run radion. Are they dimmable lights? Are you able to control them by a controller? For kicks and giggles, it would be cool to stage them like the sunrise coming across the tank. My boss did that on his 125 with radions, and although he says he outgrew it, it was still pretty cool.
 
Lights have individual controllers on the side of each fixtures. Lights can be adjusted to various desired intensity manually or we can select a present configuration that changes the intensity of the lights at various times of the day or we can program it to change as we desire.
I am waiting to have an APEX system hooked up to control all the gadgets, lights pumps, etc .. more in a few weeks on the controls and thanks for your interest.
 
I have three tangs and a wrasse in a 65g confined fish space waiting to be moved in 2 weeks I hope. Nothing on my list as of now. Will have to go fishing at LFS pretty soon

Put the sand in and everything looks good . Started to see pods on the galass of the main tank. Not expected because of all the disturbance I have been causing with pumps LR sand etc.. A good sign nevertheless..
Coral I moved in tank to watch before buying colonies are doping Ok after five days or so

Wayne.. Before buying the seven MaxSpect for my new system I bought an eighth one and I am using it on my 65g holding tank. and I love them so do the corals... Will report on them after the big tank and corals are in for a few weeks... Thanks

My first layer is unintentionally fine sand -Carib Sea AragaMax Select #00932 that is too fine for my application at 0.5-1.5mm and the package arrived stating it is 0.5-1.0 not 1.5 mm as advertised.
I added a coarser grain / top layer is Carib Sea - Seaflor Special Grade Reef Sand. 1-2mm Much better for the flow desired.
Are four MP60s too strong for the sand bed . I am now trying to figure out a solution that will work with the sand and pumps I have. Is it too much flow from MPs for a sandbed??? Any suggestions are appreciated
 
FWIW, I'd not be overly concerned about those bubbles in the silicone (other than the aesthetic). Although not a GC tank, I had a 220 with similar problems and a bottom euro brace, as as far as I know it's still going strong at almost 23 years old.
 
Hi ca1ore glad to hear U chime on the positive side from personal experience about the bubbles in the silicone. I spend a lot of time working daily on my tank and it is costing me plenty of money & energy... I have no choice but to move on.. I am glad GC and my installer are aware of my concerns.
