my paramaters wern't up to par and the anemone got stressed and lost all it's tentacles. will they grow back? how long will it take for them to grow back?
I have a six foot reef tank and two mated pairs of clowns at opposite ends. When I initially introduced the third clown the existing mated pair attacked the new clown's anemone and ripped off all its tentacles off. I moved the anemone to my sump and hand fed it a mix of HUFA brine and Mysis for a month or two. The tentacles grew back so I reintroduced the anemone and did some aquascaping so the other pair couldn't see it (this was a couple years ago).
So yes they can grow back but require pretty intensive care and very stable parameters.
