So Im watching t.v and im seeing my clowns going nuts like they are eating something in the tank. So I get a flashlight and I see little baby fish with little eyes swimming everywhere in my tank!!! I had no clue that my clowns even laid any eggs any where...This is so cool that my clowns finally mated with each other!! Just wanted to share its pretty exciting for me.

About 7 months give or take...I recently have been feeding the tank pellets a couple times a day so maybe thats what caused it

What kind of clowns are they? Are they being hosted by an anemone?

They are Black Ocellaris!! They dont host anything at all. They have a nice hole in the sandbed though lol where they like to sleep though

Very cool Magga Pie. Are you sure they are clown larvae? How could you miss a egg mass for 8 days? They are pretty bright orange at first.
Was this before or after lights out?

I dunno how I could of missed it. Thats why I was confused About 30 minutes after the lights went off my clowns started going nuts just like they do when I feed them. So I shined a flashlight in and I saw about 50 around the glass and where the clowns where and then much more scattered around and my clowns and in the general area and they where eating them, They where pretty small with black eyes.

It does sound like clown larvae. Even the timing is spot on. Very cool. I hope you have success raising them. (if you want to raise them) If you need any help drop me a PM.

I think it is extremly hard not to notice the clown eggs with the pair watch and fan it. About the timing, essentially every thing hatch at about a few hours after light out.
Way back when I fist start keeping reef tank, the first fish that spawn in my tank was yellow tail damsels. Do you have any other pair of fish in your tank. Could it be crab or shrimp larve?

OrionN: They where little fish with eyes squirming around. So they weren't crab or shrimp larvae. I only have a coral banded shrimp in there anyways. The only other fish that I have that are capable of spawning are chalk bass. I have 2 but they hate each other and fight all of the time. So I dont think they did it..I have been feeding the tank 3 times a day so that might of trigured it..I was suprised also to see larvae in the tank but I have been noticing the clowns lately going to the back and staying back there for awile at diff times of the day

I guess it is the clowns. Since you don't have an anemone, they may lay eggs behind the rock out of sight.

Update: Its been exactly 2 weeks since I last saw the larvae in my tank. Tonight I checked and saw it again. Shined a flashlight at the top and alot swam up scooped them out with a container and put them in a 2.5g tank, have to get another tank. I put rotifers in the tank with larvae and pyhto to tint the water. So see how many are alive in the morning. I think I have alot more to learn. Theres about 60 give or take I left a bunch more in the main tank, I just didnt have any more water to top off what I have taken out.
