The tank is going through its “ugly” stage. Diatoms are starting to pop up so I’m trying a new diatom mix. This Diatom Mix has three strains of domesticated diatoms and will outcompete the diatoms growing in the tank. I started my first dose with 250ml since my tank is already used to live phytoplankton. I’ll keep an eye on the diatoms that are growing and adjust my dose accordingly. My next dose might be 350ml (1ml per total water volume)

Looking good! I need to get some more coral back in my tank as well. The truck needs some new tires first…getting some long overdue rubbers and an alignment in the morning!

There’s 3 of them. I just got the third one back yesterday. It was on display at the LA Pet Fair this past weekend. I put it back in the old tank for now but might end up putting it in with these two.

All these corals are from the tank in the house. I’ll probably transfer sps today and switch out the lights.

Thanks! My wife came into the shop today, saw it and said “oh wow it looks nice now” haha the last time she paid attention to it the tank was going through one of its bacterial blooms

I haven’t measured it but it’s huge. It was on display at the LA Pet Fair last weekend. I got it as a 2 eye frag 3 or 4 years ago.
