My fat blenny and more.

I've got a big fat lawnmower blenny. He likes to show off how fat he is.

A serpent star I just added. He's a huge pig and at the first sign of a feeding he's out and about looking for food. The other one I got is a little more laid back.

And I got a little colony of zoas. I figured I would start off with some little basic ones that I got from andyreef off of the FS board.

That's all of my little pictures for now.
Thanks for looking!

Looking good and that is one happy blenny

Thanks!
He's so fat he can barely sit on his front fins.

does your blenny eat food that you add to the tank or just algae?

I have a red lipped blenny and I would like to find some supplemental food he will eat

In the LFS he was mainly eating Spectrum pellets, and I watched him eat some before I bought him.
At first I was adding the Spectrum pellets to my tank, but he 100% ignored the pellets once he hit my tank.
I've got mine in a 100 gallon tank with a black back that I never clean, so he's got plenty of algae on the back wall and overflows and jets to chew on.
While he's been in my tank he spends the day grazing on algae, and is really active during feeding time, which leads me to believe that he's also eating some of the shrimp that hits the rocks, although I've never seen him actually eat any of it.

Got a picture of your red lipped blenny? I'd love to see it.

Sarah

Yeah, thats one fat blenny alright.
Maybe she's pregnant

I haven't been able to find any really good information on blenny reproduction habits.
The blenny being pregnant would be pretty funny though, as most everything I've found has said that captive blenny breeding is unlikely.
