Update: The ich outbreak started early in May and I didn't start the CP treatment until the 16th (had to read all threads and order). I am very pleased to report that as of the 25th, there are no visible signs of ich on any of the fish. Especially impressive is how great the clown trigger looks as he was seriously infected with it. The Rabbit, Koran and others are doing great. No scratching..no nothing. And I was shocked yesterday when I just glanced over at the tank and what did I see, but my yellow-tail coris wrassie. He hadn't been seen in 4 days and looks awesome. Everyone is eating and their appetite is such that they all come to the one end of the tank whenever I approach. Today, I changed out 25% of the water, added carbon, turned PS and UV back on. I will continue to monitor, but the colors are great and no white specs anywhere. I plan on keeping this on hand in case of any future outbreak. Thanks to everyone who ventured to try CP out and report their findings. Without this thread, I would have had to resort to Copper. I also believe had I had this on hand when the outbreak started, I would not have lost my Banner, Emperor and Niger Trigger. I have been adding back macrobacter7 to ensure there is no ammonia as the Seachem ammonia badge in the sump shows light green Vs the normal yellow. Not sure if CP did this or there was some impact to the Bacteria levels in the tank. Better safe then sorry. BTW - Had ended up turning lights out for 7 days, no carbon, no PS or UV and shutdown the Ecobak reactor (Cleaned thoroughly and added new pellets today as well). I will revisit this post in a week or so to hopefully state that all is still well or other. Thanks again to everyone who enabled me to find out about Chloroquine Phosphate.
