I've read through this thread and I am optimistic. I currently have a 210 aqueon. I have been treating my porcupine puffer for crypt using Dr G's anti-parasitic caviar. He seems to be improving but now I am seeing flashing on my other fish so I am sure it is spreading.
I'm now feeding the Dr G's to all the fish, but I know it's not the cure because it is treating the symptoms.
So, I have a porcupine puffer, kole tang, fuzzy dwarf lion, harelquin tusk, foxface, abd dwarf golden moray eel.
Are any of these susceptible to harm from CP?
Now the real question, I have a FOWLR. My fish are pretty big. I I have a 29 gallon and a 20 long I got at Petco. I can't see leaving them in a small QT for 3 months while there is no guarantee that the crypt in the DT will die.
Can I dose the DT? I ordered 100g of cp from *National Fish Pharmaceuticals. I've seen that some on this thread have done this. Did it work? Any mistakes? Would you do it again?
Do I need to remove my snails and crabs?

I contacted them and they said it was 98.8%+ pure.
I called 7 veterinarians in my area yesterday. None work with fish and none will write a prescription without seeing the animal.

So, I read 50+ pages and it seems like it is safe to treat the DT. I have no corals. Some snails and crabs. Should I remove them?
I already ordered from national fish pharmaceuticals. What is the feedback on them? Someone said maybe not so great? I may have a line on another source, but it is really hard to get a vet to write a script in MA.
What's the verdict on my stocking list? Are they all CP compatible?

I would remove snails & crabs. Don't use any filters just let water run thru a open filter system. CP works great. I would not turn on my lights. It's been a while for me so I can't remember how long to treat but if you read all this thread you should know. I still have a full container of 30g but mine came from a local drug store mom & pop owned. My vet wrote me a script. I would highly recommend getting a vet to write you a script and getting a local drugstore to get it for you.

Open filter, as no filter socks or anything?
That's another question I had. I wash my filter socks in the washing machine with vinegar and steam cycle. Will that kill any crypt? Do I stop using the buckets I use for water changes? How far does everyone go?

I have been using them for a long time and it has always worked fine for me. I did find out from a member on RC that its sourced from China.I still use them had never had a problem with it.I have been in the hobby since the early 1970's when this was available under another name.
There is also an E bay seller procoralz that says Certificate of Analysis from supplier available upon request.I have never used him but maybe some one else on RC has.Hope this helps.

When my order charged, it actually came up as fishman chemicals. I called them an they said they gets a certificate of analysis that they go by.

Also, what is the verdict on light? Do I need to keep the blinds closed? I have a current LED light (not a coral light). Can I use the actinic lights or is normal lighting ok after it's dissolved?
Is a skimmer on low ok to keep the water aerated?

Far as light I have seen some say bad and some say no problem.When I run it All I use is room lighting.No sun either. Take out any inverts.It will kill snails. The only fish I have used it on are tangs with no problem.The rest of your stock I am not sure on.Maybe some one else here has.
