It may just be the background but is there a dark spot between the second and third light? Looks like there there is a hall in the background so maybe that's the reason.

Cougarman seems jnarowe was right, the ignore button works well...

Well, it has taken me more than three years to find one, and how could I be so lucky to end up with two of them. I finally cam across a Mustard tang ( Acanthurus guttatus ). This guy is probably 3" and is hanging out in the back of the tank right now. Will have to see how he gets along with the others and start swimming with the gang. I hope to get some better pictures when he comes out and all of the lights have come on.

so wicked! I have yet to see one in the Toronto area. A real find Goodwin9! See what I mean about a modified convict tang? You can see the stripes behind the spots. When I saw them in Hawaii they were always up in the surf. I figure they are convict tangs that developed the spots to blend in with all the bubbles in the surf. I want one for my tank!

They look good too man. not too skinny, fins in order. I heard they dont ship well which is why they are never available around here.

wow that is a beauty. everytime i come over your other mustard tang kept hiding. lol now i can finally get a good look at it. how big is she? she looks smaller then your 1st one though.

I think that you are talking about the Spotted Cheeks tang. Both of these are probably 3". The one in the big tank is minding his own business and not having any problems. The one in the 470 is being chased by the Blue Eyed tang???

Happiness, is being able to refer to your 470 g in one phrase, and in the next phrase, refer to you "big tank". :smokin:

I just love this thread when it's about the fish! :D

Finally, two weeks late, I received my new salt mixing/holding tanks to replace the smaller 65 gallon tanks I have been using. With the addition of these two tanks, I will have 425 gallons of saltwater storage, and 150 gallons of storage for RO water. City utilities has to love me.....

very nice Chuck. Keep in mind that those tanks will combust. I know a guy that had one catch on fire from a heater he had in it.

I'm calling the new tang, "the poor man's Jem (tang). Kind of looks like one from the middle back to the tail?????

Not sure whether I spend more money on food for the fish, or gas for the truck..........

Very nice Goodwin. Is there any reason why you don't have a gem tang?If you do have one in one of those many tanks you own then I apologize for my lack memory. The tank looks great.I am starting to wonder when one of your tanks will make tank of the month.God knows you spend a lot of money on this hobby.Maybe you can have a chat with my wife she still thinks my small 300 is to big.

LOL ...No Gem's in any of my tanks. The cheapest I think that I have ever seen them was $2999.00 Too rich for me. I'm afraid the the Mustard (Jewel) tang will be closest resemblance to a Jem I will be able to get for my tank.

I've got a box delivered to me at work this morning that is supposed to contain a 4" Black tang. First time I have bought from this on line retailer so I think that I will wait until I get home in an hour and a half to open. Large box for a single fish so it looks like it was packed well. We'll see when I get home.....

As far as a chat, I'm probably not the best choice. I'm single and haven't had to deal with those type of issues...........
