so many good forums, why deal with it?

my wife pulled a fast one on me...I found my tank and took her to see it (about 4 hour drive). We talked about it and decided it would be a good way for me to get my brain through stroke recovery. I negotiated price over the phone, and then met her in the hallway. I said the deal was done, and she said, "Good, then you don't mind if I buy new furniture!"...suckered the whole way through. And I have brain damage. That can't be fair right?

I can't wait to see the response for 250G re: his status at AP.
I especially like the part about being on "time-out". Is it really necessary to treat grown adults like children? Keep the conversation professional and non-personal and we all win.

I was thinking the exact same thing. He's completely oblivious to the offensiveness of his posts. His social skills, or lack there of would be a real treat to see in person. One of the characteristics of a socially inept person, is their lack of empathy. They are unable to put themselves in other peoples shoes. It fascinates me how someone such as this can survive in todays society. I guess they find comfort with others of similar social immaturity
 
Again I have to ask, "Why bother?"...if you guys don't get along for whatever reason, why let it consume any of your time and life energy, and why bring it here? Forget about it already and check out Chuck's tank cams... there's so much more to life than getting the last word. you can just block each other so you don't have to deal with it. Seriously, "Time Out"? That's hilarious. And pathetic.

One question I do have... is it possible to suggest other forums here?
I've found a couple...but would like to know if its ok to suggest others.

No Cougarman I do have empathy, I feel sorry for you because you don't see what is going on behind the scenes nor the whole story and yet you feel the need to insult me. Fair enough, you've been banned from AP so I can understand your resentment and hostility toward myself.

Dewey Dave's situation has already rectified with the higher ups and hopefully worked out a path that everyone will enjoy. I should know in the next little bit but the end result may actually surprise you but the matter was handled via PM where it belonged. Truth is I'd do the same that I offered to Dave for anyone.

You did make a very good point and perhaps something for you to think about; when you act like a child people will take on a parental role and treat you like a child, when you act like a parent people will take on childish role and treat you like a parent, but when you act like a peer people will take on a role of a peer and treat you as a peer.

Taken from my first year psychology class and it still holds true. Another one is that people will read what they want to, see what they want to, and hear what they want to. An unfortunate truth.

Hotlinking RC pictures outside RC unfortunately doesn't work but post away. I also have a list I could give you, most you may have heard already though.

There's no such thing as "hotlinking RC pictures" since the pictures posted on RC threads are resident on various other servers. Given your stated occupation, I would not have expected a response like that, but then again, I wasn't in a conversation with you anyway.

LoL, I just meant that if someone had a problem I'd help them work it out :lol:

jnarowe it was a generalization about RC and what they deem acceptable, and an offer for more sites. Posting images via inline linking, aka hotlinking, from the RC server to another server, aka another site outside RC, is infact hotlinking. Hotlinking is a common term but look up inline linking.

Nanorefaholic, It has little to do with being banned. You weren't even a part of that thread or any recent thread for that matter. It has to do with all the posts I've ever read authored by you. I just never said anything. But now there's nothing to lose. A solution to the problem would be for you not to post here anymore. I think we'd all appreciate that.

Sorry jnarowe. Your're right, I do like to get the last word, but I have a feeling It wont be the last word.

I almost hate to post this, but last week I purchased a 6" male Red Sea Blonde Naso from Grant (tangdiver), at Safari Land and added to the tank. The price was fantastic so I couldn't pass up. This is the second Blonde Naso in the tnak and I have to report that they are getting along fine with no issues..

It saddens me to read the opening comment of the above quote. This is your thread and you have the right to post what you please. I can't believe this argument still continues. I'm sure there are many other reefers awaiting to see your updates, but like me are ignoring the updates after reading who has replied. I hope your thread comes back to the way it started as a very interesting and pleasing thread to follow.

To the debaters :mad2: don't you think it's time to drop it, especially considering these forums are for the public's access. I'm sure nobody's interesterd in your arguments. You have made some good points earlier on for people to consider, but now it's gone to far and has gotten to spitefull. So for the sake of all the other people trying to follow this thread, can you either drop it or
