My new 600 gallon reef

That's not exactly what i wrote, so let me clarify:

I use gravity between my RO/DI tank and my SW mixing tank.

I use gravity between the SW mixing tank and the main system sumps.

I use a LiterMeter III for top-off control, married to my AquaController III Pro and a float switch. So power is supplied to the LieterMeter only when the float switch allows, and the pH of the tank is not too high.

Here's a couple of vids describing my water change system, and I am not sure if Chuck has seen these, so I hope it's OK to post here. I hate to be redundant, but alas, I often am.

jnarowe: I use those same two 50 gallon containers with wheels. Not as complex as your system though. I have them plumbed together so they can equalize, then a drain plumbed a little higher going to the drain in the floor, in case I forget to turn off the ro/di unit. The sound isnt working on my laptop, so I was unable to hear your video. I'm gonna watch it again on my desktop when I have time.

Goodwin9: Nice black tang. Cool fish, but the guttatus takes the cake in my opinion. I'm still jealous. Definately post some pics of the black tang in your tank. I just added a Lopezi Unicorn to my main tank. Can I post a pic of it Goodwin9?

Oh and by the way: Canadian girls are great if you like the high maintainance type. I chose to go South of the border for my wife. South of the Canadian/US border that is! LOL

first of all, Canada has some sweet women. You don't know what you've got there. Country full of babes and ugly men means fun for me! (well, bfore I got married anyway)...let's not forget that!

I mean seriously, where are you going to find that kind of supply of Danish chicks and Asian chicks, all in the same neighborhood?

And BTW, those are 96g Rubbermaids, not the 45 or 50g. I used them originally when I bought my tank. It came with 250 lbs. of rock and I put it in the Rubbermaids, covered with water, and rolled them into the truck. Then I figured I would get some life out of them so I plumbed them into my system.

I am not sure the sound will help! :D

Steve, send me a picture. Canadian girls are hot, and I may want to steal this one from Chuck. ;)
I second the request...what's a post with out pictures????????

Well just got home from Chucks house.

Picked up a couple water storage tanks since he got some new ones. Really good price. THANKS!! Chuck

I have to say i have seen Chucks tanks now 3 times and everytime i am impressed even more!!! Today he did a little feeding and that WAS something to see!!!

I have watched these tanks on the web cams and they do not do them justice. These tanks are Incredible to see in person and i feel lucky to be able to see them!!!

Everytime I go over there it ends up being a couple of hours, Wow time flies:D

THANKS for your time Chuck and your Hospitality!!!!!

Looks like I caught you again... I brought up the tank cam just intim to see you float a very large bag with a Tang shaped object inside.

I wish I had the room for a tank the size of yours. Tank is looking good.

I will not mention box #2... oops

I'm also watching the bags float right now.

I love your tank, its the most entertaining thing about going to class, I can sit and watch, yet still learn! :D

I got caught...pictures a little later, the big bag is another tang...I can hear the sirens going off now as I type..........

Oh yea! The tang police are doing back flips!

This the most amazing private collection of tangs!

You may ned to talk to Spazz about a skimer for this tank soon!

naso...I wouldn't feed my fish while other fish are in bags. Wrong message to send eh? Also, something for you to consider Chuck, is that I never release fish into my system while the lights are on.

But with so many fish in the tank, and many of them having short memories, maybe it doesn't matter?

I never float mine. They experience temp changes in the ocean all the time. I figure just get them out of the bag as quickly as possible. What do you guys do?
