I've seen some that were that large at the LFS, but I don't remember the name of them. I have Bartlett's and Lyretail Anthias which I don't believe get that large. (At least mine haven't)Originally posted by Jflip2002
How large are your Anthias? I went to one of my LFS in the area, and theirs were a good 4-5", they were pretty big. I always thought theyd be small like chromis.
Double post????Originally posted by Jflip2002

I bought them online from ERI and got a great price. I had been told that they will hide in the rocks, but this hasn't been the case for these two. I wish now that I would have gotten a couple of more for my other tanks. They are a great looking fish.Originally posted by Lunchbucket

It's not supposed to be bare bottom, but with the flow in the tank, most of the sand ends up towards the back of the tank.Originally posted by sivert55
from the pics, it looks like this is a barebottom main display with a remote DSB. is that correct?
There have been a few additional pieces of equipment added including additional UV sterilizer, and 3 additional media reactors. I am still using, and have been very happy with the Calcium reactor made by Reef Mania. The only problem I have had was with the CO2 regulator sticking in the open position and melting much of the media in the reactor.Originally posted by patmack
Do you still have the same equipment that you started with? How do you like you calcium reactor?
I have the identical reactor running on my 470 using Gen-X. No matter how often I bleed off the CO2, I end up getting bubbles back in the reactor after a few days. Very frustrating. Have had both Tangdiver & Lunchbucket look at the reactor and have been unable to solve the problem. Here's a video of the reactor.Originally posted by jnarowe
damn, that is a mess. You should switch to Gen-X anyway.![]()
Well, if it isn't CO2, I don't know how any air would be getting into the reactor. It is controlled with a PinPoint controller and I belive that you can see the number of bubble going into the reactor in the video. I don't have this happening in the identical reactor running on the 600 using ARM media. Identical reactors with different results with the two medias.Originally posted by jnarowe
bleed off the CO2? What the heck are you talking about? You shouldn't have to bleed it off. Are you controlling the CO2 input?
The ONLY time I get bubbles lik ethat is on a re-start, but it resolves itself wihtin a few minutes. My only guess from afar is that either you are injecting too much CO2, or the reactor is not well designed. Seems strange though since these reactors are so simple.
Can you post a link to the reactor or a drawing of it? Maybe I can help you out with this if I have a better understanding of its design.
