Marc, what are you lighting them with and how long are the lights on the mangroves?

The refugium lighting is on from 10pm to 8am. I'm using the same refugium bulb I've been recommending for years. 5100K screw in compact fluorescents.

They are getting too tall, but I'm not sure what would happen if I cut off the tops. I hate to try, honestly.

I have quite a few in my refugium. Maybe 10 total. They are hiding behind the skimmer, so I have to be looking for them to see them.

You are a freaking nut chuck!!! I can't imagine just ordering stuff like that and filling the tank up. Maybe some day!!

Yeah order some salt so I can bulk on a bucket or two from you again. I'd like to see what boxes run. I'd even help carry them all downstairs if I could get a better deal :D

Jonathan has already told me the same several times...:spin1:

I'm pretty sure that I can get Instant Ocean in 200 gallon boxes, but am not sure about Reef Crystals. I should be ready to order during the salt sale in July. Moving the buckets sounds like a real deal to me.....

Where's the best place to look for those bulbs?

On my site, I have a page about the refugium bulb and it provides two clickable links. They cost $11 each, and six shipped cost me $7 in postage.

I want to see this list:

To Do
1) Clean skimmer collection cups
2) Check Calcium Reactor effluent rate & alkalinity levels
3) Check tank salinity
4) Check new fish for any indications of disease or stress
5) Add top off water (SET TIMER!)
6) Scrape off 6,000,000 dots of coralline
7) Flip any snails right side up
8) Post news on RC
9) Drink coffee
10) Scan websites for more fish I want
Numbers 4 & 6 have been accomplished today, along with 9 & 10 of course! ;)

Well, after cleaning the tank, I was able to get a few pictures of the Black tang. Of course, the one snail I didn't knock off the acrylic got in the middle of the pictures...

My little Helfrichi Firefish have been missing in action for the past week until today when I was cleaning the tank, I noticed one of the popping it's head from out beneath one of the rocks near the front of the tank. It's anyones guess where the second one may be hiding....

I watched you scrape it this morning, that is a huge change.
I'll bet that was interesting..Not my favorite job..just when you think that you are done and step back, you see all of the spots that I missed. I wore the glove most of the time cause I am tired of the Doctor fish coming up from behind and nipping at my arm. Just enough to make me jump and usually hit my elbow on either the tank or lights.....

I'm glad my doctor fish doesn't bite or chase me when I have hands in the tank.

I can't imagine having to scrape all the tanks you have. That is some serious commitment right there!

Hey Chuck - great looking tanks!

Can you share some info on what type of cameras and what service you are using to stream the video?

I would love to set up a camera for my 180 gallon tank (which is currently cycling/curing)

Thanks! Itay
