Very nice shots. Goodwin. How big are your anthias? Do you think i can keep 2 or 3 in a 90?
Most of them are in that 2 ~ 3" range. I'm not an expert, but I would think that you could put a pair in a 90.

great shots, so you have all 3 females and no male lyretail anthias?
There are a couple of males in the tank, I just didn't get them in the pictures.

After reading a couple of Sam's threads (kau_cinta_ku), I picked up some grounding probes and a bottle of calibration fluid for my Refractometer. I'd been using RO water to calibrate so will be interested in seeing the difference the calibration fluid changes. I didn't check for stray voltage, (NO meter), but got the grounding probes just incase. The spray will be used to super clean the fan radiator on the chiller which might have caused a relay to go out on the chiller??

interesting coil cleaner. the guys that service the refrigeration at my store use CO2 or nitrogen bottles and a trigger hose. All it does is blow the crap off. How much did that can cost?

good choice on the new items, I would deff. hate to see you or anyone for that matter go through what I just did.

let us know how much diff. there is on your refractometer using the pinpoint calibration fluid?

if you ever needed a volt meter to check things out let me know I have one now lol.

The can was $10. Haven't tried it yet, but repairman told me that it would do a better job than the vacuuming I had been doing.

I checked my refractometer, it read Zero with my RO water, and then when I checked it with the calibration fluid, it read 33 PPT, seems my reading in the tank have been 2 points high....

yeah, I had been vacuuming my coils at the store rather infrequently and I just had to cough up $1,600 to re-build a pump. Try a CO2 tank sometime. That works great.

not to bad. mine was reading between 31-32ppt. I also just made some of Randy's DIY calibration fluid for salinity as I am almost out of the pinpoint fluid, and his also came out the same as the pinpoint fluid.

Mangroves still doing good Chuck?
I just pulled one of mine out of the sand bed and saw it is developing roots nicely.

90% of the seed pods have started sprouting roots in water very close to the salinity of the tank. I plan on moving them from the tubs to the various refugiums this week. Because of the depth of the refugiums, I probably won't be able to put them in the sand and will have to float them. Take a picture the next time you check and it would be interesting to see if your root are growing faster having been placed in the sand.

I bought a couple of new fish that I have been looking for for quite some time. You know that they are large when they are each shipped in their own box.........

It was a feat just to get the bags in the tank to acclimate. Surprised myself that I didn't knock the pendant into the tank....
