Chuck,
Thank you again for letting me benefit from the great deal you got on those Ric's. I can't wait to get home from work and see them under the lights today.
And I know I have promised a couple of times to post in your thread about your big tank. So here goes
I have seen your tank a number of times now over the last year or more? I can't say I would have done everything exactly the same but over all I think you have a technically robust setup.
If anything, I would have increased the size of the refugium.
The display itself...... well, the fish are amazing and I have to say the clown tang is my favorite. But it doesn't matter where you look in the tank and there is something going on to catch your interest.
The best thing I must say is seeing how the tank has gone from a tank that didn't seem too healthy to a tank that now seems to have stabilized. The corals I see in there now are the ones I always see and nothing is dying anymore. One of the sps that has been brown for a year is now turning a nice shade of green and is looking like it is doing great. Your fish look happy and fat, it is not the same stressed tank it was.
If I were you I would take another stab at adding some coral. Maybe not 100-200 at a time, but five to ten nice corals that can be a test group.
