Thanks! I like so many different patterns I couldn't decide, then one day I found this pair for $90 together and just went for it! I've had them for about a month and they haven't shown any interest in my BTAs, but 48 hours with the Mag and they were sold! I was very impressed with the results.

LOL, true, I just figured they would settle for the motel until the penthouse was ready, but they were just homeless.

Thanks! I used to be all about BTAs and sand nems, but now that I have this Mag, if you can afford the tank space and worrying I say go for it!

Beautiful! I've never attempted a mag. We have had them in our store but they are always inflate/deflate cycles.

I am SO scared that it will start doing that!!! So far it has flattened so it doesn't stand as tall, which is sad, but the mouth stays closed all night now, so that's an improvement, and it hasn't ever really deflated, so I'm just holding my breath a lot.

Beautiful mag. I have the same color variant. It has been very hardy. It is fascinating how quickly percs or ocellaris go to mags, like mag-nets.

Well any updates on the Mag

He's um, going for a walk right now. :lol2:

He had a bad spell during the first week (technicolor omelette kinda bad) but otherwise it seems to be going well. Thanks for asking!

Glad to here its doing better . Have you tested your water there may be something off in the water to make it move .

To be honest, there were several things that caused the problems during the first week. Low salinity, low alk, and high PO4. I've since corrected these issues and it's appearance is GREATLY improved. At this point I think it may just be getting comfortable because this is the first time it has moved since I added it. Even though it has been moving for the last 2 days, it is moving in a small, slow circle, like it's trying get it's flow or footing right. Also, it has stayed fully inflated, mouth closed tight, and ate a scallop yesterday.

well at least you know what was going wrong in your tank and got it in time . i hope your Mag does well for you .

Thank you for the encouragement! So far everything is still good. It looks to be lifting up most of it's oral disc now, so we're almost in good shape again. I watch it CONSTANTLY just in case.

And I got to see this for the first time after lights out tonight! One of my favorite poses!
