Mags will certainly be smaller at night than during the day under your main lights; and it is normal to see a few flaccid tentacles every now and then, but if you are seeing the entire anemone deflating then that is a waning sign that all is not well. If you see that on a repeated basis, then the animal is likely to expires unless you begin treatment. Minh has a sticky here on Cipro treatment that significantly improves survival rates for these wonderful animals. Good luck.

My wording was bad I guess he hasn't deflated just the tentacles aren't full in the morning before the lights come on. Will defiantly treat if the problem persists.

I would give it a couple of weeks to make sure it settles in and is doing good before feeding it.I give mine a whole cube of thawed Mysis once a week.

I have mine for just over a year,it host a pair of clowns that lay eggs regularly.
:lol: I didn't mean that, but not an unreasonable interpretation of what I wrote. Have actually not found my mag to be a fish eater at all, but it gets plenty of floating food because I feed my tank very heavily.
Mine too, and I have a spotlessly perfect record in raising the fry: NOT ONE!

The mag made a turn for the better before I got the cipro medication in. Was doing well for about 3 weeks or so and then a few days ago it's mouth gaped open after I fed it for the first time "I fed it a cube of phytoplankton, inserted via syringe after the cube was thawed" and never closed back up, it wasn't expanding and was making a sort of taco shape, tentacles were still full. So cipro treatment started today. Here's some photos of day 1.
Tank is a standard ten gallon with a ph and heater. Light is a 15w t8 bulb. Not sure if that is sufficient or not.
